Just ban one of them.

The issue is that people don't want to be forced into playing them with each other. They're concerned that with all the artificial synergy injected into their kits, they would be strong when paired with each other and weak in any other situation.

If people read the whole descriptions on the champ pages and watch some of the gameplay footage they'd see that they aren't weaker with other champions, it even says that on their separate pages that they work well with other champions too.

Thing is people just like to look at the abilities and don't generally read everything else so they panic and assume stuff is op or won't work or are weak when that stuff is explained right there

They don't get THAT MUCH better when paired. A synchronized recall, the ADC can have her w or e (I forget which) affect the supp, and the supp has increased movement range on his dash when targeting the ADC.

That's it.

They get the synchronized recall and then the dude gets a longer dash to his girlfriend and then he also uses one of her abilities when she casts it, but it's not like any of that is gigantically op and game breaking. It's just a small little synergy when they happen to be in game together, which probably won't always be the case. Both of them work fine without each other.

People are just in panic mode right now because it's something new

Honestly, if their duo synergy is going to mean anything, it going to be in the pro scene. (Thank the pros if they get nerfed)

Though the pro scene has more tools to shut that down in champion select. Partially because of their tiered baning phases, but also because it more likely to find them on separate teams. (E.X. In the event both champs escape the first ban phase, Blue side could only lock one of them right away. Red side could conceivably pick both of them if Blue side didn't pick either, but blue side would probably keep one of them away at all times.)
