High Elo Players, how would you build...

I tried to theorize some myself, but let's be honest, I'm Bronze 5. You know way more about this game. How would you build ADC Annie?

I'm a little torn. I think I'd need to bring the Attack Speed blues on top of the quints, I could even bring AS marks if you think it'd be better. Her range is so big that there's just not a lot of point in rushing , but what's the point in rushing with no damage? I could -> ->, but then my power spike is going to be so late. Or I could just say my runes are enough and rush IE. Maybe I should just rush BorK despite the range.

What would you do?

How to build ADC annie: Step 1: You don't.

Her AP scaling is so good I have no idea why you would want to go ADC.

If for whatever reason I was building that, I'd just go Essence Reaver to spam my stun. Then Runaan's Hurricane since it looks cool. I couldn't actually do it properly though so I can't really help you there..

For fun. She's got a lot of utility for an ADC, very easy to play, and if you rush E her resistances are great too.

They even gave her an "AP auto attack" as your Q so you can last hit as a mage really easy.. ADC Annie, I just don't see it. Her attacks are slow, all of her abilites are useless except her E and passive, and you're missing all the damage from her ultimate. If you're going for her range, Caitlyn, Kogmaw, and Tristana all have more with more "useful" other abilities, that also scale with AD items.. which you'll be building.

I'm fine with doing unusual stuff (my match history has jungle darius, heimer support + tank, voli adc), but I just don't think it's good enough to be properly viable. Especially in ranked, which I'm assuming you're going for since you mentioned your rank?

No, banned from ranked again. I've been screwing around in normals, because it's just impossible to take them seriously. I think her passive in itself is going to make up for her lack of AD scalings, especially with tibbers.

I see now.. you know Draft Pick is pretty much exactly the same as ranked but just not with LP and stuff, right?

Except with LeBlanc supports and people feeding every single game. I've played like 20 games now and not once has my team ever gotten a baron. I can play support and win. I can go burst Teemo and win. Two games ago I played TWISTED FATE for the FIRST TIME, and I fucking carried 13/2. No one tries. It's not a real match, it's just CS and wait for one of the teams to be stupid enough to lose.

Sorry for the anger, but normals are just a waste of time.

Sounds just like ranked to me.

My team gets baron often, and people try all the time. I think the people we are matched with in normals are a lot different, probably since you hardly play it compared to ranked, so you're with different people.

"but normals are just a waste of time." I can't really agree with that. Ranked is the same thing, but:

More stressful
Higher chance of trolls
Nobody is friendly
Hardly feels like an actual fun game
Gives you shiny things that, being honest now, nobody but you really cares about (applies to us all)

The fact that around 80% of people only play normals as well.. it's hard to agree with that. You're playing a game for fun, which is what normal games are for most people, myself included. Ranked is more like an unpredictable job where everyone rages over a single mistake. It's really not that fun for me. Also, you can win with support in ranked.

The only "real" difference I see is unusual lane combos. I don't have a problem with it myself. It's less common in draft as well.

If normals are a waste of time, why are you asking on the forum? It's not like it matters if you try different builds and lose a few times right? <- that sounds like I'm being a real bitch there, but I don't actually mean for it to come across like that.

I used to play normals, I have played way more normals than ranked. There are way more trolls in normals, and they do it intentionally BECAUSE it's normals (see: myself). I used to like it because I could troll and lose freely, but it's just not really rewarding to destroy level 27s and get curbstomped by Silvers all day. In ranked, people act like the matches matter, and it really feels like I deserved to carry most of the time.

I'm asking because whenever I talk about anything other than my match history, high Elo players will look at my match history and criticize my build choices. Usually I actually get some good feedback, so considering I'm not sure how to build her, I thought I'd ask.

You don't.

She has zero AD/AS scalings or steroids, and you are going to get reported every game.

Furthermore, her attack range is about to get nerfed.

As someone who has done many ridiculous things I will answer your question seriously.

You of course are going to want item 3006 Even as ADC you are still going to want to cast your spells. I would recommend getting either item 3004 , item 3508 or both. item 3031 Is also important. You simply need the damage, just like most adcs. item 3046 item 3087 are good because you need the attack speed. item 3078 is another option. You are going to cast your spells a lot anyway so you will get quite a bit out of spell blade. And of course item 3035 if you need armor pen.

I have not done ADC Annie before, but I have done AD Annie top and it did actually very well.

I'd rush item 3508 -> item 3006 -> item 3046 -> item 3031 -> item 3071 (zerks probably somewhere on my way to ER if i don't have tons of gold on my backs) The main point off adc-annie besides the high aa-range is her reliable stun. With the mana from ER and some nice cdr, you can get that stun pretty fast. As 5th item, i would get item 3072 or item 3153 vs tanks or item 3022 to survive burst. Thx to her E, she got quite high defstats, so a second lifestealitem or the maxhealth from FM make her pretty tanky, and the FM-slow on 625 range is damn nasty.

Going attack speed is a really bad idea. Her wind up animation is so long the attack speed won't do much of a difference and thats the main reason why adc annie isn't a thing. I would suggest going heavy damage (similar of how you build cait) so you can use your stun and long distance to be a pain early game as you will decay without ad scaling abilities
