Why does Veigar stun stops champs mid dash and Cassiopea ult doesn't?

Cassiopea is probably one of the most vulnerable champs in the game. Even more than Veigar because he has a targeted reliable ult that will blow you away.

Yet, if she stuns a target mid dash, the target will still dash the full distance, while Veigar stun will stop them mid dash.

Why doesn't she stop them mid dash? Her ult has plenty of counter play already baked init with it huge cast delay and the fact the they must be facing her.

I don't know about you, but If I stunned you 500 units away while you were dashing, I don't want you in my face when that stun wears off.

Because Veigar's cage specifically stops dashes. It was part of the compensation they added when they added the delay on it
