Wukong goes oom, if he spams. He doesn't have a shield for half his hp bar every 5.2 second.

Riven doesnt have invisibility + point&click 30% armor reduction + 50% AS steroid nuke+ 800 base damage 440% ad scaling ultimate with a knockup.

But she has: manaless spamable low cooldown spells which are: 4 dash not 1, shield based on AD with 4 sec cd, 2 hard cc instead of 1.

wukong has to stay near you for the duration of the ultimate, riven just click on some spells and execute you.

Wukong is barely played, he is not a popular pick top lane. He has clear strengths and weaknesses. There are a lot of champions who outright crush him. Wukong has the potential to snowball, sure, but only if he has a good laning phase. If you are up agaisnt a tank or good scaling bruisee like Maokai or Irelia and you didn't manage to get ahead early they will be unkillable for Wukong.

I would think Wukong is what Riot wants most champions to be lile, strong with clear strengths and weaknesses.

Riven is the same as Wukong, she didn't get nerfed because of BC though, she got nerfed because she needed some room for counterplay.

Wukong has two point+click abilities and an ultimate which lasts for 4 seconds so even if you flash it he will still catch up to you because he gets movement speed while using it. You can dodge all of Riven's abilities and build armor to counter her, but you cant counter wukong with armor as hard because he gets free 30% armor reduction from his Q. Riven has a lot more counterplay than wukong.

I don't care what anyone says, I'd rather play against Wukong then against Riven. Riven is one of the most toxic champions in the game in my opinion (next to Kalista, Thresh, and Leblanc), no resource tied in with a shield that scales of 100% bonus AD, 4 dashes, a aoe stun, an aoe execute that is near impossible to avoid, bonus AD and range, and sheen for a passive - She's broken, and needs to get nerfed.
