Another reason why Yasuo feels so strong.
A portion of his extreme power also seems to come from matchup changes as a lot of his main counters; either were recently nerfed, or had a major item build path nerfed, or are simply unpopular.
Midlane Counters
- can silence and suppress Yasuo and Malefic Visions is targeted; Rework nerfed his damages really hard, passive nerfed recently
- can outtrade and poke Yasuo; most recent Diana change to Moonfall makes it harder to escape ganks
- can Polymorph Yasuo and bypass Wind Wall with Help, Pix! solo lane Lulu gutted with Glitterlance less potent on multiple targets
- not yet, but she's getting a round of nerfs to her HP per level.
- can dodge Tornado or burst combo with Playful/ Trickster, Playful/ Trickster's cooldown was increased therefore making it harder for Fizz to dodge Yasuo combo
- generally outtraded and could peel Yasuo away from himself with Emperor's Divide, laning patterns heavily nerfed, Yasuo now outtrades him.
- Could shove Yasuo in with Death Ray and remain safe while harassing with Siphon Power, Gravity Field counters Last Breath, recent changes to augments and ulti nerf hurt Viktor hard.
- can use Unraveled Earth to discourage excessive dashing, not very good after recent nerfs
- can poke down with Rockets and Gatling Gun, can escape with Valkyrie, pretty garbage atm since AA changes.
Top Lane Counters:
-** Hiten Style and Equilibrium Strike was the death of Yasuo **, recent nerfs to her passive
-Hosts upon years of CC recentish nerfs to base damages
- Riposte can block 3rd Steel Tempest Riposte cooldown nerf gives Yasuo a huge window to burst her down before level 13.
Other Counters
-** could outkite Sweeping Blade with Martial Poise**; not considered viable in her current state since 6.6
- **can outplay Yasuo with Tumble and Final Hour. Condemn works too. **Also not very good, early game is too punishing.
Counters not recently affected by nerfs or itemization changes:

only for it to be nerfed into the ground 2 months later.
