Ashe is actually a “soft counter” to Cait because she can match push and poke with W. But between players of equal skill she still doesn’t WIN lane. She just has a good ult to set up ganks/for her support, which punished Cait heavily for overextending as she does.
But with no jungler/support in the equation Cait still wins.
Same thing with Jayce, he’s easy as shit to shut down via camping him, but it sucks to be in a lane where only your jungler can save you.

Terchio2 votesIsn't Jayce E Q about the fastest skillshot in the game? Sure it requires 2 skills, but decent Jayces leave almost no reaction time. Also, the heavy splash area means you have to be weary of sitting in your minions as well, despite the minions being your most reliable method of avoiding such skillshots in the first place. And we've only talked about 2 of 6 (7? 8?) skills on his kit.
By this logic, Kat should be invulnerable in the League of Skillshots.

However, not only are there methods of avoiding instant dodge altogether, like baiting out the cooldown, but the QE combo on Jayce is amongst the easiest skillshots to land in the game with its incredible speed and massive landing AoE. It also accounts for a very small chunk of his kit, 1/4 of it disregarding the certain speed boost he gets for using his QE combo in the first place. It's one thing to downplay the power of QE, but to call it an easy dodge is laughable on such an overloaded kit.

Terchio1 votesThis is the League of Skillshots, and the League of Mobility. Most champions have high amounts of mobility, and regardless, Kat can dodge 1 of almost any champion's abilities. Jayce is not special in that regard, except that his ability is actually harder to time, and Kat actually is special in that her mobility is bound to unit or dagger locations. 1 hop means jack when others have far stronger evasion: 
. And Jayce's isn't even like an ultimate dodge, either, it's 2 of his 8 skills. If Kat is Jayce's counter, then she's even more of a counter to any champion with a dodgeable ultimate, which is a very heavy amount of them.
for godssakes, Jayce counters Katarina. Jayce is Katarina's 3rd hardest counter. If we were talking Faker here, maybe, but even that is questionable.

Terchio1 votesI can't tell whether you do play the game, if you rely on scripts to do all your playing, or are trolling a hypothetical situation. Either way, you have a non-realistic view on Jayce's threat zone and Katarina's defensive prowess, or are again throwing up a hypothetical, purposely ignoring both. Soraka can be a kill threat. However, the majority of players find they lack the general capability compared to the rest of the League. Katarina can dodge the game's fastest skillshot by spending her defensive cooldowns, if sensed quick enough. But that is not Katarina exclusive, and should never have been entertained as such.
As I've mentioned, she's hard countered against Jayce for a reason, and it's not because she's been dodging everything he's been throwing at her. If anything, these "slick dodges" have put her in a rut to then try to face Jayce with his other 6 skills, and you've only created a scenario where she dodges one skill only to be left helpless to die regardless. We shouldn't be making a point by saying "... if only he missed his Q...". He didn't, Kat died, and that's the end. Any further discussion suggests a lack of skill existed within the situation, and that simply is not the case.
