The counter to everything top lane nowdays is having the better jungler

Someone picks nasus and you try to counterpick with a early bully?

Why bother, the moment you try to trade aggressively a lvl 3 jungler will pop up with doubles at 2:30 while you're lvl 2 and just gank you over and over until you cant lane anymore, theres pretty much no point in playing anything that isnt a tank (as everything else gets solo'd 100-0 by junglers early game) top lane since you cant exactly play lane if either you have a good jungler or both junglers are terrible.

Its never been so frustating to play something like riven (or a champ tha wants to play aggressively/trade early since she needs to gain a lead to actually carry a game), you literally only get a fun game if : The enemy doesnt pick a tank and/or rushes tabi/bramble vest, and you dont get camped by a jungler, so basically almost never in diamond+

They literally removed the snowball top lane and carry with your lead from top lane in favor of junglers facerolling everyone early game so top laners have 0 imapct on the game, thanks riot.

This isn't nowadays, this has always been the case tbh.

The problem is right now it doesn't matter what happens up there, you have to rely on bot lane to carry the game.

I edited that but yea, we look up there and see if we can get the lane a lead so we can ignore it the rest of the game and focus on the only lane that matters, bot or maybe mid.

Especially in that matchup, nasus will shit on riven hard unless she gets a gank early, so everybody is gunna rush up there to try and let nasus have some lax early until there's no possible way he can lose 1v1 on his own. Most you can ask for is a counter gank or to avoid shoving him in for best odds.

If a jungle camps the lane, thats at the fault of you and your jungler. If your jungler isn't counter ganking or influencing the opposite side of the map then that's not benefitting from theirs wasting time top. If you're not warding or overextending repeatedly rather then freezing, then thats to be expected as an easy target.
