Nerfing rylai's was great and all, but now AP itemization is even more polarized than it was.

RoA is tied to mana, making it undesirable for manless champions or champions who just don't have mana issues like Annie, while also making it inefficient on champions who really need the CDR and AP from Morellonomicon, because you'll lose basically every trade with 1k gold sank into mana.

Liandry's is going to turn into the new rylai's, being great on a few champions and still bought on other champions who don't give a shit about the passive simply because they want the hp and it's 100% gold efficient.

If anything this change just makes a handful of mages still auto-buy rylai's and the rest not even consider it. Another HP option for AP champions would be nice.

The important difference between Rylai's and Liandry's is that Rylai's lowers enemy agency with the slow. Tons of champs buy Doran's Ring even if they don't have perfect synergy with it just because it's so gold efficient. That doesn't make it a problem on its own.

hp isn't all it's cracked up to be most of the time unless you're building a few of the items and can sacrifice the extra burst for more dps and survivability. and learn not to discount items with ap and resists like athene's/abyssal/zhonya's.

though I'll have to go check to see what they did to rylais now...
