Mundo not only is immune to turret damage but he also heals during his ultimate, despite getting 8 shots.

How is this fair then?

Thats how tanks are supposed to work - take lot of damage without dying.

Akali w problem was that she could just enter her shroud under you turret and damage you with almost no counterplay(skillshots say hello) and taking no turret damage. Vs mundo you can rush GW item and i dont think he would be able to that again.

TLDR: Vs Mundo you have counterplay, but not vs akali w.

Except that she always took turret shots even before the very first nerfs if she ever unstealthed under it.

?????? Probably because he has 3 armor items and his ult gives him like 300% regen? What even is your point here? Akalis issue was that she could freely tower dive. Mundo still takes damage. Meaning if you dont feed your ass off to a MUNDO then you actually can counter him easily

He doesn't need any item except item 3065
