If the game can detect ping; why not prevent high ping levels from ranked?
I assume someone else has pitched this, but remakes add up to a lot of time between the queue, pick/ban, and 3 minute lead up to a POSSIBLE remake.
Why not cap ping rates?

I am entirely for this. The majority of competitive games like Street Fighter V have speed tests for ranked, I see no reason why League, a game where you cost your teammates a win on top of yourself, shouldn't.
The only problem I can imagine is that the majority of "my ping!" complaints come from players who have typically normal pings and experience unprecedented spikes mid game, because people with constant bad ping likely do avoid ranked already to a degree.
because ping doesn't affect the vast majority of players, if you're bad you're bad.
i play on sea servers with like 280 ping and got d5 several times already, also play with constant ping/packet loss on NA servers, i think on the lag report i got like a 70/100? yet i can still get high diamond so doesn't rly matter
OK well the guys in my game are hitting 9k. So make it a 1k threshhold. But this argument of pissy aggression like "Why? I'm fine, STOP CRYING" is not only illogical, but it's counter productive.
Why? Because if you can't see things coming, you're giving the enemy an advantage. That's why.
