zed problem here

So asuming your team doesn't have enough cc to lock down a zed, that means it's gg.

I was sivir and facing zed was just a nightmare, our cc wasn't enough to keep him away from me, his dmg was just awful. He would deathmark me en every teamfight, kill me in a two seconds before i could even react, i know sivir has a spell shield and i should be avoiding it, however i am a fairly new sivir player and i pretty much used my shield on other incoming spells so that zed made sure my shield was down before he jumped me.

The first few kills were also stupid, we were same lvl and he had no kills or anything, he just dived in killed me back off.

Zed is a champion that does very high dmg to ADCs and very little dmg to tanks.

Maybe he needs a nerf on his ad and a buff on his armor pen, of course i don't know if that would make him even better...

Zed doesn't have any armor pen (thank god that's the kitchen sink that didn't get put in) but if he were to have armor pen, increasing it would make him even worse to play against, depending on numbers of course.

Don't be too hard on yourself for not using the spell shield, after a certain point of kills Zed destroys targets before the ult pops anyway.

I find this funny. You literally just said that you are new to sivir, yet you are saying a champion is op because of one game. ONE GAME. The guy could've been a plat smurf or something. Also, if the game is ranked then you should counter pick your team comp. If your team doesn't have enough damage and cc to kill a zed that is immediately diving you it is your team's fault and not the zed's. You should make a team comp with some form of cc and tankiness, otherwise you are literally ASKING for an akali or zed or kat to dive the fuck out of your team. Now please. Please. Dont base your assumptions on the power level of a champ based on one game.

Btw i never just talk after only one game, i had 3 games in a row where i faced zed and in all 3 of them his dives were impossible to prevent, when his shadows are all over the place evne some squishy hard cc like morgana or lux, can't lock him down

What I'm saying is you need a tank or tanky cc... leona, blitz, amumu, etc.

He said he is relatively new to Sivir, not that he's played only one game with Sivir. And that doesn't even matter in regards to Zed. He's Level 30, that's plenty of games to be dumpstered by Zed; it's not exactly hard to figure out he's OP.

if zed is op how come i never have an issue with him? I main yasuo as mid btw, so that's where i get most of the matchups

Are you actually being serious? No really, are you trying to be ironic ?

{quoted} Hey, why then do I never have any problem with champion-chronically-complained-about-as-being-over-powered? Oh, and, by the by, I normally play as champion-chronically-complained-about-as-being-over-powered 2: Electro Boogaloo.

I can't tell.

I'm saying that yasuo is actually countered by zed somewhat, and also yasuo is far from op at this point. With the item 3031 nerf (indirect), along with several other nerfs riot has made to him, yasuo requires a fair amount of skill to play competitively at this point.

Okay you're actually asking and not making an ironic point. To answer your question, "Why don't I have trouble with Zed when I am playing Yasuo?" The answer is "Because you are playing Yasuo", not one of those champions who are made to never play Team Builder because they might get paired against Zed. You can look up plenty of well written arguments why Zed is OP here, so I won't go into them but here I am going to write what's relevant to you and Yasuo. Many people find Zed to be oppressive to lane against because:

Zed is a resourceless, mobile champion who has free poke and free wave clear with a dash that allows him to immediately dive onto any immobile mage or ranged AD champion. Yasuo is a resourceless, mobile champion who has free poke and wave clear with a dash that allows him to immediately dive onto any immobile mage or ranged AD champion.

Yasuo does not have the kind of (relative) disadvantages that the champions who have problems with Zed. He is the same kind of champion. Further, you have a windwall as well as that free shield that automatically protects you from the constant shuriken spam. It's not at all a surprise to me that you wouldn't have as much trouble.

well i said yasuo because he's my main, but I've also played against zeds as several other champs Riven Fiora Akali Nidalee Veigar [pre nerf] and i usually have no issue with them. If the zed is good and is hard to play against, i play passive/defensive and wait for jungle to gank. Not that difficult. Although a small nerf to his damage could be applied. I think they should reduce some of his damage, but change his ult so that the shadow lands on top of the champ. Less escape, less damage, slightly compensated by better ult position for damage. Simple.

Well that's that's the like of Fiora, You should really try out champions like Lux or other mages and Ranged AD versus Zed. Entirely new context for comparison.

Here, compare the matchup of you playing Lux, a Ranged AoE mage, against Zed. It can give you an idea of why some complain. At level 5, Lux has a mana pool of 489, meaning Lux can try to poke Zed 5 times, then you would be out of mana and have no abilities to defend yourself with. You can't even use a shield to mitigate shuriken damage because that costs mana and you would still have to be aware and react in time anyway, unlike Yasuo's which is free and automatic. Also, you are playing a mage, meaning you have a terrible time CSing and have no wave clear.

Meanwhile, in the time that it took you to try and poke 5 times, Zed has been tossing shurikens and is getting ready to throw his 9th one, each of which individually deals a bit more base damage and has a 40% higher damage ratio. Even though he has poked at you sixty percent more, he is not out of resources, can use all his ablities, and will continue to spam shurikens while you cannot retaliate. Additionally, he can always wave clear, he's great at it, and has an easy time CSing because he is AD as well as possessing a passive which has a frankly ridiculous gold value in free damage. The single target assassin has better poke and wave clear than the mage who would ostensibly be designed for that.

NO CC, that's your Team's fault.

Get two shotted by the Assassin as an ADC, that's expected.

Lord Macaroni1 votes

Play Malzahar mid. Proceed to crush zed and farm more safely than he can while zoning him to death. See my last 2 games.

Mages and Assassins are specialized in killing adc's. Trust me there burst is to get down squishes and so ADC's since they build no damage are the main target for Mages and assassins. Even though mages are squishy too there stuns or CC should be able to take down adc's with their full combo.

For example Xerath I can delete ADC's with this guy. Only if i have enough burst.
