why i hate this community (read before you down vote)

I used to be an inexperienced and horrible player at this game, my little experience of MMOs made me jump into ranked games as soon i got to lvl 30, i lost alot, i ruined my mmr, and i though that the beginning of a new season resets it, but it doesn't.

I was trapped in the hell of low elo. Bronze 5, i thought i could climb up but my redicilous 8-9 lp gains were not able to counter the 19-24 lp losses. I had to win 3 games so i can afford 1 loss! And yes one person doesn't always remain bad, people progress, people get better as they get more experience. But even a ridiculously high 60% winrate wasn't able to make any difference in my effort to climb out of bronze. I would win 5-6 matches in a row only to see my lp lost within 2 losses. My MMR was terrible and although it started getting better, the prossess is so slow.

I the amount of feeding in low elos is unreal, whether it was my team feeding or the enemy team, once one team feeds all balance is lost. I like slow paced games, i like taking it easy, but when people die here and there and your score is 1-0 but there have been 30 deaths around the map in other lanes, the enemy can be 6-7 and still will be stronger than you who are 1-0 ect. I know my cs isn't that great but still making up for so many kills is ridiculous.

Anyways this is why i hate thia community. NOONE is supportive, NOONE will ever say a good word. It's all about snobbism and mean, deconstuctive criticism. Noone tries to encourage or help people. I would post a board of how people in low elos play death matches and how the deaths are redicilous and people would downvote. I would say something needs to be fixed but it was always a downvote. People keep tryong to convince others that they suck and thus the reason why they have problems with the game, instead of taking a minute to think. Taking a munute to wonder what it is like to be in bronze. But no, it's always mean and evil criticism.

People who don't even know you try to convince you that you are bad. That you suck. Literaly sucking every last bit of confidence from you. Noone cares to give advice, tips, help but they all try to talk of how bad of a player you are. If i say that i ward more they will say it's not about warding, if i say i don't ward they will say it's all about warding. If i say i get better in cs they will say it not enough. It is NEVER enough. People make it seem like climbing out of bronze is a piece of cake even if you gain 8-10 lp amd losing 19-24. Noone even tries to understand what it is like to play with buchered mmr.

And i hate thia community mostly becaise of one reason. I used to be confident, i ised to feel i was a good player even if i wasn't. I used to think i am good and i can climb out of bronze. But thanks to thia community i lost all my confidence. I play even worse than before in my effort to improve. I feel like i am useless and i suck. I feel like i belong in bronze even tho deep down i know that i don't. But this community made me a worse player than what i was. They made me doubt myself more than even before. I used to play for fun to thinking i was good i won more games, but now i play to prove that i am good. I play worse trying to prove that i play better but i don't. I lose mpre games than ever cause this community made me actually believe that i suck.

I hate you for never saying a good word about anything. Never agreeing with me even to make me feel better but always disagreeing even when i was right. Always talking of how bad i am and how bronze ia where i belong.

Anyways. I am not a peraon that gets too much affected by othersm i used to not give any fcks about what others sayed and that actually made me play better. But then i though imma hear these people. Imma take them seriously. Imma hear what they have to say so that i can improve. And i shouldn't have. Not only i didn't become a better player but i became worst than before.....

I stopped believing in myself :(

you say you don't belong there but looking at some of your history im seeing 16-15, 8-7, 3-2, those types of scores. and those from games that you won.

there is nothing wrong with those scores exactly, but to me they make it look like you Are where you belong. honestly if a silver player came to bronze 4 they would win their lane almost every game and win it big. you wouldn't see 8-7 in a 36 minute Caitlyn victory that your team won 62 to 27.

EDIT: I looked up the vayne you laned against that game. he is 4-12 in bronze V and he out cs'ed you by 50 that game. I think you are exactly where you belong.

I am not sure if you are talking about that game with the diana support? That diana gave me cancer, she fed bot lane to the point that i kindly asked her to leave my lane and let me solo it. That's how bad she was.

First of all diana isn't support. This guy pick diana to sup and feeds. At this point vayne was so much stronger amd out lvled me. I couldn't stay in lane for a second. Jung tried to help, he died too, and thia lane was just retarded.

See things may not always be like they seem.

looks like your support was taric. he went 3-6 but he did quite a lot better than the 0-12 thresh support their vayne had.

so how did the bronze 5 vayne with a worse support, worse jungler, worse everything out perform you if you don't belong in bronze 4?

Ohh OK wrong game, THANKS for reminding of this game, i loved it, i had the wrong runes and masteries i freaked out in chat lol. This udyr tho carried us hard .

Yes i did poorly on cs, it was awkward to farm without my runes and masteries... I know it's not an excuse i still didn't farm good. I have games where my farm ia even worse, but sometimes when i win a game i just tend to group up in mid and ignore farm like this one. Plus you couldn't grab a kill from that udyr lol.

I think you are putting extra stress and pressure on yourself by thinking you belong in a higher rank. bronze 4 is nothing to be ashamed of.

of all players in LoL less than 1/3rd play ranked at all. about half of those are in bronze. lolking.net has you ranked 1,021,383 in north America. with over 30 million active league of legends accounts id say that's pretty decent.

Rustling Bush1 votes

honestly, i don't even really bother with rank, just play casually and you'll have alot more fun. but if your looking for a slower pace moba like lol then you should try dota, those games are slow af

Oddysseas1 votes

When i say slow paced i mean more like lcs. I like to play in standard pace. When top lane has 2 deaths buy bot has 20, all balance is lost in the game. Top laners are left behing because keep dying at extreme rates in other lanes. And the result? A 2-0 top laner getting owned by a 7-10 mid laner of adc, cause the pace of his lane was slow but the enemy adc even thi died a shit load of times, still got 7 kills and thus more gold and items.

I want the game to be evenly distributed across all lanes like lcs and not having one slow lane and another that runs faster that usain bolt

will you could consider lcs a teamque, in soloque their is no co-ordination, its just hop on with some strangers and hope everything goes your way. but if your looking for that lcs feel maybe you should find some friends you've played with and join in a teamque, so you know whose doing what and thus co-ordination is somewhat achieved.

It is NEVER enough.

7-8 CS/minute, 10 wards a game (when not support), no more than 3 deaths, at least a 50% contribution per kill. Have those stats in 4/5ths of your games and you'll hit silver easily.

Also, the community didn't make you stop believing in yourself. That's just how you chose to react.

Oddysseas1 votes

The community likes to punish more than what the reward. They like to always have a reason to object to you rather than agree. And they always wanna try to convince you that you suck even tho they don't even know who you are or how you play. They just like to assume everyone who complaints, sucks

disregardable1 votes

That's because the people that don't suck don't complain.

Oddysseas1 votes

This is so untrue. Noone and nothing is perfect. That includes this game. Complaining about something means my opinion vrs riot's opinion and giess what riot can't always be right

Just to clear something up, it's an RTS more than MMO.

Other than that, I know what you mean, but it's really that way in any sort of PvP game. If you're bad, they hate you for it. I really do understand, though. It takes practice and an "I don't care," attitude to get through the a**holes.

I just thought that taking advice doesn't hurt, but apparently it did hurt me. I see it in my plays. I used to be confident going into fights now i play like chicken trying not to die.

Everyone goes through that. It's easy to see a time when you can jump in and do damage, it's much harder to look for a time when you can go in with your team and do more than damage, you can win the fight. It's that same reason as you go higher in tier you see less and less deaths on both sides in the average game.

You've learned more about the game and you're seeing more risks. You're just overcorrecting. Hitting that right balance is where mastery comes in.

Jubbinaut1 votes

I honestly think that the issue isn't so much that you've taken advice. I think it's that you've taken it the wrong way.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say that a lot of what you've been told wasn't pretty negative. I've seen quite a bit of it, having followed your threads for a while now. There have been more than a few people talking to you that were pretty rude and dismissive about their "advice."

What I mean, though, is I think that rather than taking only what's useful to heart, you've also taken a lot of that heavy negativity that, in all honesty, probably would have better been discarded. Which, y'know, happens to a lot of people.

I also think you're in a pretty common transition period. I know I went through it myself - I may still be there, actually. And I've seen most of my friends do the same thing.

You go from thinking you know what you're doing, and so doing well at that, to learning that you didn't really know as well as you thought. So while you try to unlearn that old method, and learn a whole new way of looking at the game, you simply don't play as well as you had before.

The downside of this is, it can be rough as hell to get through. On the upside, though, it's giving you a lot more room to grow and learn, and helping you develop stronger basics. Which will help you get to higher rankings.

Oddysseas1 votes

I hope so man. I need my confidence back. I need to feel like i am good even though i may not be. This is what made me play decently. I am hesitant in most of my plays, i used to act by instinct and most of the times it worked, nkw i just overthink things too much resulting in making mistakes or losing advantages because i followed a different method to carry than before because i thought it is better but it is not...

Jubbinaut1 votes

Well, that's going to happen. Until you internalize this new way of approaching the game, you're going to over-think your decisions. As you get more comfortable with it, you'll find those decisions come more and more easily, until you scarcely need to think about them at all.

1 800 MID LANE1 votes

In all honesty, there are times where you should play chicken trying not to die. Certain champs WILL be able to counter your own, and in such cases, it's much better to play defensively and hug a turret. You won't get as much feed, and you won't push much, but you'll be alive. Just sit back and wait for a teammate to help with a gank. After that, you'll be able to get more fed and it will end up much easier for you. This game is multiplayer. If you can't 1v1 someone, don't.

A good way to see if they're going to outplay you 1v1 would be to see how aggressive they are and how easy it is for you to counter that aggression. If you can't counter a massively aggressive player, you probably won't be able to take them alone.

Be aggressive, but don't be suicidal with it. Playing smart trumps brute force every time.

this is and another response is 100%. It was like playing H3 trying 2 get your 50, the more games you played the harder it is to rank up, eventuely being level locked and getting no "LP". Atleast im glad @ the match history so when kids say shit like "you went 3-9-3 and I can tell their dumbass to view the kill history and see i was 3-1-1 before the 0-7 braum and 2-8 lucian fed the other lanes. Stats don't mean shit in this game and idgaf what anyone says because in lower elows they are corrupt by other laners feeding, trolls and afks

Oddysseas1 votes

You can't even imagine how many times i start games with 3-0 or 5-1 only to die 5 times in a row cause like you said the 0-7 braum and the 2-8 lucian ruined the game.

And then people will tell me that it's my faukt that i didn't help bot lane. But if i had i would have given up on cs and exp, and lose my advantage at the risk of getting killed in the effort.

There are so many parameters that people ignore.
