From a Support main to the rest of you

Please, every player (not necessarily Junglers since they are very different from the rest of the team play wise, but TOP,MID, and ADC especially), need to understand these simple strategies and mechanics:

  1. CS is needed. You can't just farm kills and expect to be relevant in the late game if you have shit CS. Experience is gained more from CS than kills. Sure you have 5 kills on your opponent, but if you only have 35ish CS to their 150ish, they are ahead. NOT YOU. 10 CS / 1 minute is god tier, pro level CS, no one is expecting that from you (unless you are a pro level player), so no need to kill yourself to get every single minion also. Aim for a reasonable +120 CS at 15-20 minutes as a laner. 1 normal kill is roughly 15 CS unless first blood (20 CS). Normal kill is when you kill someone without them having a kill or death streak.

  2. If there is a Soraka on the enemy team, SHE IS PRIMARY TARGET #1. While she is alive, their team is more or less gonna win every teamfight since you won't be able to kill any of their champions unless you bust them 100-0 while Soraka can't heal them because of CDs. She is super squishy for a reason, take advantage of it and nuke her ass before she lands a Q.

  3. As a support, it is my job to keep the ADC alive** IF** possible. If you solo dive their team there's not much I can do except watch you die because of your stupidness. Ill throw you a lantern if I a thresh but you're on your own. Also, as the support, it is better for me to sacrifice my self if you can escape. I won't/shouldn't have a bounty. If you do, let me die so you live and dont give them that bounty. Don't go back in trying to save me. You will not and most likely will also die. So recognise that that is my intent and just clear out. I would not do that for any other reason. If it seems odd for my reengage, AND I dont ping it, just leave.

  4. If I have a heal, you are not immortal. I have CDs and other costs. So dont expect to dive towers repeatedly and have me able to continuously heal you because I won't be able to keep up.

  5. I will ward AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, but 4 wards can't cover a full jungle quadrant, let alone the full map. So ward too, that means item 3363 , item 2043, and item 3340. 1 other player should have a sweepers too, but wards are the priority.

  6. For all those ADC's who are not Kalista, get damage first. At least a item 1038. At least. Then either build your full damage item or switch to attack speed. You will not win trades if you have no damage at early levels. Vayne maybe but even still, I recommend getting a item 1038 first.

Well that is the end of my rant. If you have more add them in the comments.

It needs a seventh segment:

  1. Do not piss off your support. We are taking the shitty role, sacrificing our fun and enjoyment, sacrificing our chance at glory and power in order for you to shine. When you get bitchy because you are losing lane and it turns out that your support can't hold back two enemy laners so you can just ignore everything and mindlessly farm for fifteen minutes... we have a right to be angry with you. Do not ignore everything happening in your lane just to peck at minions. CS is important, sure... whatever... but your Soraka actually cannot keep you alive forever when you're getting a lot of poke because you refuse to shoot back. (This is a corollary with #4 in the OP) You need to pull your weight in lane, too. Supports do not have enough money or enough time to keep everything warded at all times no matter what. You have a trinket, too. Use it. And protect your support.

If you think that you literally shouldn't do anything except CS, you are losing the lane -- and ruining the game for your support who is a frustrated, useless wreck from straining to keep you alive all the time. Shoot back. Protect your support. Help ward. If you want to freefarm CS, then push your opponents out of the lane first.

Another pointer; Don't abandon your support! If they start focusing the support, whether it be a teamfight or sparing in lane, don't just stand around picking your nose; attack back with your ranged auto-attacks or any CC you have. It's called coverfire.
