When I started playing league, I didn't buy any components cuz I didn't know the cost of them was subtracted from the main item. So my first buy would be at like 15 minutes. Now I'm master. Oh how I've grown.
thats exactly what i used to do.
my friend told me im an idiot for that and taught me how to buy components.
i used to think when zed was released that he was a support champion and built that item that gave mana to people near me so i can support them.
i used to build that item on every single champ because i liked helping the players on my team get fed and shit.
now im a top main and ive isolated myself from other teammates.
^haha I also did this. I also thought there wasn't an attack speed cap so 6 Phantom dancer Kennen was born.
I also thought Cait's abilities scaled with ap.
To be fair, two of her abilities do (or did) scale with AP - traps and net.
You're master?
Indeed. Came quite a long way.
Why dont you use your main?
When I started playing League I ended Season One with my MMR so low, (600) it wouldn't show on my profile, hit D1 in S3 (Before Master or Challenger were around), oh how we grow ;_;
how does one get 600 mmr
It was the ladder system before the League system we got now. (Bronze I - II - III - IV - V - Silver V etc.) You used to just have an MMR rating (MatchMaking Rating) one a single huge ladder with all the players on it. Nowadays you have elo rating instead which is hidden and matches you with similar players...at least on the paper.
i know that but how does one get such a low mmr
1200+ was bronze (Bronze got shifted down to accompany everything later on) and was the start of the ratings. If you were a new player jumping into ranked right after level 30, your gameplay would be absolute shit. ESPECIALLY back then before people figured shit out.
Effectively, the old 0-1200 ratings is our current Bronze rating.
my friend built anivia ad and att speed and went 21-2 his 3rd game of league of legends.
How do you find your oldest games? Just scroll for six hours?
I tried that. but my match history doesnt even go back that far :(
My friend builds BotRK and no boots on Nasus and carries in Bronze 5, thinks he's really good =P
When I first started I became thematically obsessed with Nasus. Because of his passive I just stacked bloodthirsters on him and actually was unstoppable. Then there was old sion. I just stacked lifesteal on him and used his ult. And old poppy, rip. Back in bronze 5 I was a god among cattle. Now I'm not bronze 5 anymore and I realize how bad I really am at the game.
If you didn't run ignite/heal on your zero-movespeed Nasus then you're still winning out in this comparison =P
My favorite summ spell is still tele. I prefer safe lanes.

bronze 5 literally has no limits to its depth.
you can lose every single game you ever play and you wont drop any lower, since its physically impossible. considering this fact, you can encounter absolutely anything down there. the worst players possible to exist. he is just slightly better than the brain amputated chimps hes playing against.
its not much to be proud of. XD
maybe you should tell him, that hes probably carrying against someones grandma playing on her 10 year old grandsons account because he wants to show her this cool game he just started playing.
why you gotta pick on us old folks?
get off mah lawn.
I remember old 5 Warmog's 1 FoN Vlad. That was always fun.
5 Warmogs + Atma's Mundo was also fun.
When I first started playing L eague I thought it was an RPG and saved my gold to try and buy a super expensive item... Little did I realize that when the game ended all my gold was gone... LUL
yeah well i started playing before they had online match history so unfortunately i can't see what i did.
but i do remeber going to mobafire (cringe) and building "support"
as
and some other things i have proablyl mentally blocked out. but at least all of that was pre-lvl 30....
frozen heart manamune blitz was dank as fuck

frozen heart manamune blitz was dank as fuck
right it was
not
I used to rush warmogs on Twitch and ult just to clear minions...
I used to build a tear on everyone
I'm glad I joined League with someone to teach me who has been playing since season two... This month is my one year and I'm fairly sure my match history never looked that ridiculous.
I think when I started playing it took me the tutorial and like 9 games before I figured out how to buy stuff. I started in season 1. And then my first main, Janna, had ad on her shield so I assumed your supposed to build her ad. Never mind all those ap ratios. That 45 ad at rank 5 was all that mattered.
thats what I used to do with nasus and garen, i would just buy multiple warmongs cause i thought a shit load of hp was good and my master/diamond friends never told me what I was doing wrong with my builds lmao
= Revive (RIP) +
+ R + Homeguard all at 13 minutes. 1400 movement speed and 6
xD Me in the good old days of the Rift
I'm sad I can't see my newb days, I'd love to see some of the trainwreck things I did.
I just wanna say, when I started playing back in Season 2, Warmogs on Heimerdinger was the bee's knees. (Side note: Is it "bee's knees" or "bees' knees"? I'm slightly self-conscious about my ignorance in this area of apostrophe placement.)
"The" bee's knees. As in one bee. Bees' would be the plural form. "Several bees' knees."
Well, in theory, if several bees went to market, I could say, "The bees went to market." "The" does not discriminate between singular and plural, though I might concede it leans singular when ambiguous.
Wait so which one is it actually?
Sadly, I've not gotten a definitive or satisfying answer. Supposedly the singular "bee's knee" was a thing, and it ended up converting to the plural form of "knee" later, which only makes things worse, because are we then referring to both of the singular bee's knees now, or are we exaggerating it to many bees' knees? The history of the expression seems mostly clouded in mystery.
When I started playing league, I didn't know what AD/AP scaling was.
So I played AD Cho'Gath for the longest time till my roommate who convinced me to start (June 1st 2014) walked by and broke the news to me.
My girlfriend would always buy 2 boots when leaving base.
One for each foot
I flashed to get to lane faster at the start of the game.
I flashed to get to lane faster at the start of the game.
That's such a noob trap, you're supposed to TP to tower and then hide in brush waiting for the enemy/enemies(because people did duo top back in my day).
Nah, you get a TF (who had his current ult as a basic ability), buy a ward and warp to the bush in between the outer and inner turret and plant a ward there. This is followed by 4x teleports, which in turn is followed by a first blood double kill.
Holy crap, now that is a l33t beginner strat right there.
I like all the silly stories about people being dumb, but I actually have the ability to read... so, while my builds may not have been great, I built according to what the champs did.
Although when I started I INSISTED that AD Ez was garbage, and would only ever build AP on him, even if I was bot lane. I still won games, but I later learned that AD Ez is fine too. xD
I remember when I used to Main Yi. Buy 4 PD Force of Nature and Warmogs and just split push any lane.
