Every. Single. Game. Whenever there's an Irelia on the enemy team we have to AT LEAST 3v1 her and even then it's only possible if we cc lock her. It doesn't matter if she's fed or behind, she can just one shot anyone who isn't a tank. Downvote me or whatever, but is there anyone who noticed Irelia being this strong..

But I play in diamond and we tend not to have difficulties with champions that have very obvious and easily exploited weaknesses.

Her mid game can be terrifying.
When she gets massively ahead because her lane opponent played like a potato for 15 minutes...
Meanwhile if Irelia dies even once before 8 minutes... Rip, useless champ for the next 30 minutes.

Lategame, where everyone has a full build and is level 18 the only way we could kill her was when we all ambushed her while she was splitpushing. Yea we cc locked her, but this still seems a little too strong to me.

Irelia's late game is terrible. Shes basically a stun bot who happens to be a Tier 3 duelist in the meta atm. Irelia has no late game to speak of.
Are you sure you folks didn't make a whole slew of massive mistakes to feed her to ungodly proportions in the early game and mid game?
Cuz it sure seems like this is the case.

Axe2Handle1 votesIrelia scales with items. If she gets shutdown in lane she is playing catchup the rest of the game. Triforce isnt cheap.
As for teamfighting it depends if your comp can deal with her/peel. Alistar is always a good choice, her passive doesn't effect knockups or knockbacks so once she Q in on a carry she just gets locked down with no escapes.

Swiftstrike41 votesIrelia is a duelist assassin. She had been manageable since her tenacity change and the change in the cooldown to her ultimate.
Other duelists typically outscale and out class her as the game goes on. You are also Leblanc and will not be able to burst her down. Leblanc in general needs kills to scale well and she is virtually useless otherwise. If you were doing poorly you probably had no chance to kill her.
Irelia also if she gets ahead she is tough to take down in the mid game. Your top laner, if he/she lost lane badly then Irelia will be a problem because she will be strong when she hits her power spike.
