Ranked feels bad

It should be a good feeling when you get through your promos. You should feel like you're moving up the ranks.

Instead, it feels like you dodged a bullet of feeders and terrible games and the nightmare is finally over and you can breathe. Just got lost my plat1 promos for what feels like the 4th time due to teammates who play like bonobos. Just had a Yi who refused to group single-handedly threw the game by constantly getting caught out, losing us objectives, and building like someone whose literally playing Yi for the first time.

TLDR: I'm so tired of the coinflip of whichever team has the worst teammates lose. It's not even about who has the best, it's who has the worst.

Don't get frustrated; imo in and around promos the number of trolls/afk/feeders increases and it is just like you say. It is simply to force players to play more games and idk when they will change it. I had played like 3 times of silver 1-gold 4 promos in 2 days and 5 times in total. Unless the matching gives less feeders, and decides we are fit for promotion {which is rng} it will be a mess. What's worse is that they don't cooperate and tilt others.

Ranked is bad.

Maybe games are shit because it's the school holidays idk.

But yes I agree the overall feel of Season 9 is terrible.

It still feels way better than season 8 imo. Season 8 I hated League, season 9 I don't. Not saying it's great because it's not but I feel they have at least made some steps this season to make it a little more even compared to alll of season 8 that was a preseason.

Most people have a totally wrong set of mind when playing. First, realise that if you feel like games are a coinflip, it's because your skills are at a standard level for the ELO. Don't expect to win/climb if you have barely over 50% WR. Only in Challenger tier a close 50% WR is acceptable (but not inevitable).

The next step is to achieve all that knowledge that will help you change your mind from "hope I don't get feeders" to "what should I do next in order to win this". If you aim at climbing, you should get really deep into game theory and actually play to win instead of fearing or just waiting for lucky streaks.

Third, laugh at mistakes, both your own and the other players'. This makes the game much more enjoyable. If you know you're the best and nothing will stop you, you will have a lot of fun watching some occasional loss screens too.

i only have one problem with this answer and it is "Only in Challenger tier a close 50% WR is acceptable" the reason with this is that no one is born a challenger and everyone needs to get better but getting better means strugling in an elo to gain the knolidge you need to climb more, not everyone can be challenger u dumbo

Yes I know it sounds dumb, but I wanted to highlight that a little over 50% WR is nowhere enough if someone wants to rank up reliably. All these posts that tell ranked or matchmaking sucks are just crying at a nonexistant problem.

Somehow people think they are supposed to climb when on average they are as bad/good (how you want to view it) as those bonobo Yis. They fail to see this probably due to the common human behavior where own flaws are ignored and out of question.

Basic comment for a thread like OP would be "git gud", which is actually the only correct answer. Ranked won't feel bad and like a coinflip anymore when you are on the radar and know what you're doing. However, most people will never reach this state yet they believe they should rise in ELO.

Game is way too snowbally. I haven't had a game all season where I was like, wow....they really outplayed us. No....they got 12 kills mid and can now faceroll their keyboard and still win the game. Being a good laner is more important than being good at the game now....especially with turret plating giving you what? 2 kills in gold as well? So not only do you win lane, you get more gold for winning lane? incredible.

Top sucks, jg sucks. Thats already half the map (if you were to do 2/1/2 like the placement board for roles). Riot just doesn't know how to balance the upper half of the map. I dont like saying that, but it pretty much appears as such with how much and how long both roles have had their big time shafting(s).

Its all mentality my dude. Both sides get the bonobos in their team its only the losing team who takes notice of it. Recently I watched a replay of a game I won and I looked at how my teammates played I was tilting so goddam hard on how bad my teammates were playing and I was tilting even harder that the enemies didn't punish the thousands mistakes my teammates made. When I was playing said game I never noticed how bad my team was playing because we were winning where as a game that we are losing I notice their mistakes all the time. Watching a replay and looking at it from both sides really opened up my eyes and see the game differently I suggest you try that too.
