hes pretty horrible, and getting told to 'just dodge it' is all good and well, but if you could do that every single time without fail you would likely be playing in championships. skillshots hit from time to time, even when you try to dodge, and a guaranteed kill for getting hit by a skillshot is far FAR too strong.
Personally, id rework his Q to have about 600 range (Ashes attack range), but have the option to 'charge' it (thematically pumping steam pressure into his fist) to increase the range, like varus' Q. this way if he wants more reliable hooks he needs to put himself in danger and walk up to someone, if he wants to land a gamebreaking long ranged hook, he needs to charge it up, telegraphing his intentions.
I honestly dont care how much counterplay the ability has, the power it provides is far too much, and the follow up lockdown doesnt help either.
