Thornmail isn't changed?

gives back 20% of the damage dealt deals 15% of the target damage as MAGIC DAMAGE, which means that if an adc builds GA suddenly it's like 7% of the damage.

please riot, can you do something about this item?

If you buy a bloodthirster because someone bought thornmail

You will still kill yourself as an adc

If you buy GA because someone bought thornmail

You will still kill yourself because no lifesteal

If you buy GA AND bloodthirster because someone bought thornmail

Congrats... You just made the adc spend 6k+ gold for your 2.5k..

And they still need a lord dom

how does all of this matters? no tanks build thornmail first item except maybe rammus, and adc will always finish their build with item 3031 item 3072 item 3026 item 3046 item 3094 item 3036 with some tiny variation

i mean, if you have 3k hp, you will deal 450 damage magic damage split between the people who attacked you without counting the mage killing you with spells...

If your build is bloodthirster + lord dom you will still kill yourself with thornmail. You need MR otherwise you still take too much damage.

Bloodthirster is stronger than thornmail in most cases unless that tank builds straight armor, which they can't because there will be either 3 ad and two ap or etc. Thornmail is extremely weak against the champs it's supposed to counter. If they build enough armor pen or flat damage, they out lifesteal thornmail easily, they made thornmail only counter high attack speed champions now, which makes me sad :(

there is hardly any reason to have thornmail in a game let alone to have it as your only defensive item

if you are a champ who needs thornmail you need other armor and damage reduction with HP thornmail alone isnt enough to stop any adc and its isnt intented to do so it is meant to help you tank damage long enough to get to the adc to kill them not to be the reason for the damage to kill them

and its better on ap tanks who can use magic pen items/runes which would greatly increase the damage it returns based on magic pen

just like the aoe magic damage of sunfire is stronger from magic pen...

if you are in need of thornmail in game items like

item 3742 item 3110 item 3047 item 3143 item 3083 item 3068 all make it more effective then just base stats of item 3075 alone.
