For any champion that is overextended without an escape ability that can spell serious trouble. On the other hand you also force that lane to play more carefully because that person is now afraid of ganks. Half of jungling is just playing mind games.

If they're not then you farm as it typically means they are not struggling. If your mid or top laner is hugging their turret pre 6 for dear life because they're afraid of getting killed which is going to result in the opposing laner getting fed - then you should probably help so that your team stands a chance of winning the game.

VoidStaresBack2 votesNo, that's not it at all. nobody says "never cs", of course the jungler is going to farm at points, even chain-ganking junglers will pick up a camp or two between ganks. The problem is that if you spend all your time farming without applying any pressure anywhere, you've given the enemy team free reign to do whatever they want. Applying pressure doesn't have to mean "ganking", although it often does. You can also counterjungle, something that pre-six warwick can do since while he may not have the fastest clears he's a strong early game duelist due to his passive draintanking and is incredibly safe in the jungle, allowing him to almost constantly have more health than his opponents. Your opponent is now denied whatever farm you took or forced out of their jungle if they tried to fight you over it, setting them behind.

His top priority in early game is getting gold and items, just like everyone else, and you can do that by farming the jungle just as well as with ganks. Of course, a good jungler will recognize gank opportunities and will come and collect the free gold, but no jungler has any obligation to gank, and most of all, no jungler has the responsibility to save your lane for you if you lost it alone by yourself... He'll try to do it if he can, because he still wants to win the game, but it's not his responsibility, and if you flame him for that, well, that's just stupid...
