Got Akali Chroma, but can't select it?

So whats up? I got the Akali True Damage chroma, red version, but I can't select it.. still says its locked... Did I just spend 300 points for literally nothing?

No, i thought this was a varient of it.. Nowhere does it say I have to buy the base skin too.... /facepalm

Why wouldn't Riot tell you that to use a skin you have to buy another variant of it? So that's 600 points wasted.. on 2 skins I can't even use..

In order to use chromas you need the base.

Doesn't say that anywhere though, and normally to even get a chance of getting chroma you need to buy the skin, but in this case they're giving you chroma's without having to buy it, and not telling you you need to buy it too lol..

The thing you purchased is an extension of the base skin. It is a recolor of the **base skin. **

If you don't have the skin, logically you shouldn't and wouldn't be able to use the chroma...? Not stingy in the slightest.

How is doing the same thing for at least a year stingy? They're not giving out chromas without you having to buy it lmao. The token shop is still a shop, and a chroma being in the token shop isn't going to change the way chromas work.
