Riot, players, Like it or not, Ekko is a tank/bruiser and here is why

With how Ekkos toolkit works, it has been realized since day one, that tank EKKO for the most part is a million times better.

In his early days of the LCS he was played in the jungle as a cinderhulk jungler

Once in a while you saw him in the mid lane as a bruiserish assassin

And now he is a top lane tank

Ekko has had many builds, but historically, they have revolved around tank items

Gen 1 Ekko- item 1409

Gen 2 Ekko- item 3027 item 3100

Gen 3 Ekko item 3025

Current Ekko item 3078 item 3068

It is clear that the high elo players, clearly favor Ekko as a tank, he simply has a amazing toolkit for it. So at this point we need to just accept the fact, that unless riot hard core nerfs Ekkos stats that allow him to be a tank, while buffing his assassin traits to compensate. That Tank Ekko just isn't going anywhere.

He was meant to be a assassin, but the players went "nope he is a far better tank"

Now let us talk about why he failed as a assassin after nerfs

What is a assassin suppose to be able to do?

Jump onto squishies and kill them near instantly, and hopefully get out, but for the most part the job of the assassin is to give his team a advantage by diving onto the back line and reaching areas that the tanks, marksman and sometimes mages, have trouble getting too, while being as destructive as possible through damage stats.

Now if any of you have ever played full AP Ekko, you would notice while yes he does indeed do lots of damage, it typically takes him 2/4 seconds to blow up a ADC or mage. Hell depending on stats and numbers, it can take him 5 seconds while full AP.

Why is this?

W-has to land so he can get the stun and shield Q-While a great harass tool and helps a lot with your passive, simply doesn't do that much damage Passive-Must meet the 3 Stack requirement

Because of these issues, or conditions, Ekko can assassinate, but it takes him abit longer than other assassins, vs lets say, talon, rengar or zed

However his passive and Q and his W are PERFECT for bruisers and tanks

Q-Gives a tank/bruiser sticking power W-Great for delayed fights Passive-Also great for delayed fights and allows him to out trade the majority of tanks and bruisers

So what am I trying to say?

If Riot and the community no longer want's to see Tank Ekko dominating solo Q, than Ekkos numbers MUST be reworked to fit the qualities of a assassin, and walk away from the qualities that tanks and bruisers enjoy.

That is all.

I would like to see meddler or ekko creator address this new version of ekko sooner than later. They said he ekkos kit couldn't be allowed to exist as a tank kit, but obviously that is what it best at

Though honestly Riot has a greater problem here since yasou is doing the exact same thing. The idea of a skirmish assassin is a joke. That is fighters role not an assassin's role.

There has been so much damage, mobility and CDR creep in the game that it is not efficient to play certain champs the intended way.

not in high elo play, though. Which is the OPs point.
