An idea about Rift Herald

Rift Herald still is not a major concern for many junglers. And with the new Dragon system taking most of the spotlight, Rift Herald seems to go unnoticed until the other team gets it, And then it still seems to go unnoticed. With it having a 20 minute duration which persists ever after death,it should get more attention than it has now.

Idea: Change the functionality a bit.

  • Rift's Herald buff duration lasts permanently until 20 minutes (game time, not buff time) is reached regardless of when it was acquired.
  • Pre 20 minute (game time), the holder now also gives increased vision range (like 1600 units) and close quarter (like 100 units or within melee range) special vision which does not disable wards, but does reveal them so you can clear them (traps do not get disabled nor revealed). It also highlights hostile hidden enemies in red similar to sweeping lense and oracle alteration.
  • After 20 minutes (game time) is reached, the buff loses its permanence, but spreads to the whole team with each player gaining half of the buff's stats. (2.5% damage reduction while no allied champions near, and CORRUPTION: At 100 charges, your next basic attack discharges all stacks of CORRUPTION, dealing 8-135 magic damage (at levels 1-18, damage halved for ranged champions), the bonus vision aspects are removed). If a player dies, they lose the buff
  • Rift Herald now counts towards dragon stacks on the elder dragon and with its own stacking count of buffs. If any champion still has the buff f their team takes Elder dragon, each teammate alive now gets the buff restored in full (pre 20 minute buff minus the vision aspects) for as long as they are alive and have the Elder Dragon buff.

It does plenty. People just need to realize that junglers need to stop taking it
