Why does every mission I have give nexus tokens ?

Nexus tokens give you some special recall in nexus blitz and some other shiet, i.e. useless things. Am I missing something here ? Can you use them on snowdown tokens or something ? Otherwise, this is just another riot way of telling you to buy the snowdown pass because $$$. Also 1 snowdown orb costs 150 snowdown tokens and you aren't even guaranteed a skin shard, you can get a fucking OE/emote/ward skin. LOL

And? I mean free stuff is free stuff. And what if they want to make money? You can't really expect them to start handing out legendary skins to everyone for free right...? 3 years ago we wouldn't even have had this.
