Is riot really earning more money than before, with this state of the game ?

I mean, there has to be a reason they're doing literally nothing to decrease the dmg in the game. Idk where they get their money from tho... I never played less league than this season and right now. I almost only play nexus blitz for the missions and at least there you know the game should be around 10-15 mins long.

I still like the game and when I'm not home I get the craving to play my fav champs, but then I get home and I just can't bring myself to press the play button, because I know I'll just get into some unbalanced matchmaking and vs. some bullshit riot approved broken champ. And that's just for normals, if I ever play solo q, I know I will 90% of the time be in a spot where I'll have to hard carry or lose in a who one shots who first game. It's not fun at all and I'd like to grind like before but for my mental state, it's literally better to not play this game... but I don't see why riot is doing jack shit to improve the state of it.

They might be doing something about damage as we speak.

It's just that everything they do takes WAY TOO LONG.

I mean when they're making Prestige skins left right and centre and tying them to a paid mission pass, which is tied to an event (like K/DA) they're going to be raking in money.

It has gigantic playerbase and people buy skins. Just because someone quits doesn't mean that the game is dead. E-sports are good promotion despite the state of soloQ and exciting Worlds probably brough many new kids to the game. Good luck promoting the game with farm fest e-sports...

That's exactly how i feel like right now.

There's so many times i want to play but when i open the client im like "Nah, no" and close the game again. I prefer to lurk the forums and shitpost than play.

That speaks volumes for the state of the game

As of a few months ago, YoY revenue was down 21% (one of many sources).

Probably, wouldn't be surprised to hear that like the Chinese and Korean like this speed of game.

I dont know man. i stopped buying skins I can tell you that. With the exception of a jinx skin when I hit silver.

Probably yes since a fuck ton of views at (especially Asian views) at worlds and each KDA skin earned like 2-4 billion dollars

They just keep making this game worse and worse, i'd say it takes around 1-5 years from this time for this game to die out if they wont change their current objective they are currently working towards at, whatever this objective is (probably just milking our wallets, judging from the skins and champions they shit out every month, instead of fixing the matchmaking not only in ranked games, but overall and reworking old champions so they could have at least SOME chance to win against newly released champions that have incredibly toxic and unfair kits to play against)... And im bumping this year old post cuz eff it

I am guilty of buying the recent Worlds and Snowdown Passes in the hopes I get a Gemstone.

But as of yet, I still haven't gotten any.

I got really frustrated when I found out that you can't even buy Orbs with the Snowdown tokens and you can only buy Masterwork Chests (and then also have to buy Keys on the side as well).

If the next pass (which will inevitably come) doesn't have anything good in it, I won't be buying it.

Well there were posts talking about Chinese like this dmg meta and since they are their the biggest playerbase (the most income) Rito wont do anything. Why would they fix this game when they can milk chinese cashcows nipples

It's the preseason, nobody should give a shit about the state of the game when everybody KNOWS the actual season start is when things happen.

It's like you're complaining about the game before a patch even shipped that could address anything.

Considering that NA and EU are very depopulated, I think they are having bad times.

If they keep making SG stuff, they'll keep getting $

They probably are earning more money through inflation and loot boxes but they wont change damage because if they alienate mages and adcs their 2 largest classes those guys might leave and put much more of a damper on their money becuase they only release good skins for mages and adcs because those two roles have all the cute girls for skins that do well Ahri Akali Ashe Evelynn Caitlyn Jinx Kaisa Katarina MissFortune Lux...Annie

If you think about it though, I'd be looking more towards players that are joining than players that are leaving. The only reason players who've been playing for a long time are quitting is because the game is becoming unbalanced as compared to Seasons 1-4/5. Players who are just joining have nothing to compare it to, so this state becomes 'the normal' and they enjoy or they don't enjoy it so much. As a result, Rito keeps getting people to buy stuff because there are still a significant amount of people playing the game. Also they just keep pumping out skins which I very much dislike because if you look at the quality of the 2016 project skins and the 2017/18 skins even though the particles may look smoother, you can tell a lot more effort was put into the 2016 skins than any of the others (excluding the legendary skins cause they're all good). But that's another topic
