Verxint1 votesRemember, I just said my team picked a low stun comp. I have to be the engage, peel, all of the durability, and all of the disruption, while also doing enough damage to be a threat. Cho's damage over time is low and it's unreliable. Singed lacks raw cc and is a meme champ.

Verxint1 votesI need to be the tank (not tanky, I need to be the first in, the last out, the peel, the engage, and 100% of the frontline) while ALSO doing enough AP damage to punish not having MR.
Cho is simply too unreliable. Vlad, Diana, Ryze, Swain aren't true tanks and don't frontline, they brawl. Nunu doesn't even have a hard cc. Zac and Maokai can't do enough damage when built tanky enough for a team of 4 squishies, and they're too squishy if they build damage.
Ekko is the only one who can pull it off and he's blatantly overpowered.
What I'm trying to get at here is people shouldn't pick ad mids if there's no proper frontline on their team because the top laner can't frontline and be a threat.
redniwediS1 votesYou're going to have to make due with less than optimal picks here. There are almost no AP tanks that can top lane that can also do significant damage.
You're going to have to make some cuts in what you're looking for, and the one that offers you the most options is picking a tanky champion who can exist in the frontline of a team fight, rather than a true tank.
