I once had a guy on my team play Viktor jungle

This was around the end of Season 4, maybe around worlds-ish time. Anyways so I get into a game a few of my friends, and like usually, I want jungle, but this guy says he's going jungle.

Alright, fine by me, pick order and all. Come his pick, this guy picks Viktor. Okay? We're a 4-man so he isn't trading. Is he gonna change last second? He locks it in.

What happened next was fucking legendary. This guy built Feral Flare, on Viktor, in the jungle, building AP. This guy was an absolute monster. Best part? This guy was chill as fuck.

IIRC I'm pretty sure me and my friend bot lane weren't doing so bad. This guy comes in, molests the enemy **fed **bot lane, and casually walks away like he isn't a registered sex offender now.

This guy, playing AP Viktor Feral Flare jungle proceeded to prance around the map destroying the enemy. I'm pretty at one point we win like a 3v5 because he was wrecking. And this wasn't a "the enemy is just really bad" thing, this guy was amazing.

Remember guys, just because someone picks something unconventional, doesn't mean it's bad. I've seen AP Udyr do good. I've seen AD Ahri do good. My friend and I used to do Soraka ADC w/ AP Jinx or Varus support, just because it was hilarious when the enemy thought I was the damage, when in fact, nobody expected the banana.

this is true :( specially tanks he literally cant touch them. been playing him a lot now and haveing lots of trouble. There will be some games but rarely where the other team has squishy people so i can get a few kills

Meh, junglers can clear easily now. Exept maybe some assassins jungle that have a risky fist clear. Any melee with either sustain, shield or Fast clear can jungle.(Eck, even singed can jungle) For ranged, there is Kayle , Morgana, Malzahar and ryze for exemple. (and probably a few others)

This is interesting because probably the cool look Viktor has it's probably a big part of the image he left on OP's mind.

One game, I had a dou bot that locked in Thresh + Blitzcrank. So I locked in Morgana jungle, hoping for something amazing. Top lane followed suit with Leona. Mid was looking iffy, but they picked Lux mid.

All this without a word being spoken in blind pick normals.

What happened next, was legendary.

This wasn't during the days of broken Feral Flare. This was just before the jungle overhaul. When feral flare was subpar even on Master Yi.

No, but really you're telling me how one guy was a lot better than a bunch of other guys. Maybe the enemy team was shitty, maybe he was really good. Doesn't matter, it's a horrible pick and he would've won no matter what he picked probably.

This post has got to be one of the greatest things I have ever read on the forums! For both the idea "don't judge people that take a champ "out of their lane"". Except was this normals? ranked? what Q was it?

because heres what people need to consider when breaking the meta

  1. is this ranked Q, never break the meta in ranked Q unless youve played 100+ won games that are unranked with that meta breaking role 2)will this meta break ruin my teams game for them: If its my first time maybe I should go play bots and experiment around with builds or look up guides 3)Will this make people be toxic in the game?: if its gunna make people toxic, dont do it. it isnt worth it
  2. what league are you in?: bronze? meta breaks can work really well or fail really bad 50/50 shot because bronze is a melting pot of everything going good or bad, same with silver they just have the mechanics Gold+? the meta is there for a reason if you want to climb you might wanna follow the meta

I have encountered a LOT of silly things too that just sort of... worked, for reasons I am unable to comprehend.

I've seen an ADC LeBlanc, by late game she was demolishing everything in her path with no possible escape due to LB's ridiculous mobility, I've had a Riven support, whom SOMEHOW manage to get me fed as Ashe. Yes, she got ME fed, not herself, so she ACTUALLY DID A SUPPORT'S JOB, AND CORRECTLY TOO, all while remaining relevant throughout the game on a support's budget (I blame ACTUAL RIVEN SKILL, which is rare.) I've also seen an Urgot. That guy was damn good.
