Another Armor Ap Item is Needed

Like a cheaper version of Zhonya.. Something that can build out of Seeker's Arm Guard. A cheaper version of Zhonya without untargetablility of course

That's not a niche. That's a champion. He doesn't really need to build AP. His AP scalings help him make use of Triforce. Why do you think he needs an AP armor item?

Because without him what he scales into... which like 80% of his abilities scale into AP. the only thing he is benefiting from is the items stats. Therefore any tank with 1 tank ability and a considerable about of CC would out tank him and still have more Vorpal Blade Heal if he does not scale his other abilities and his ult is weak in team fights without getting some AP.

As for Triforce, I don't want to spend 3700gp just to get 30 ap 30 ad 30 as and a minor 250 health. The passive is good but only Urdyr can use it to it's full potential because shen ult only use on teamates and his e has too long of a cooldown in teamfights without max cdr.

TL;DR Health Ap items is the way to go for shen if you wanna build great damage but most AP items with armor come with mana that is wasted on shen and building ap+hp alone will make him extremely squishy. Also Zhonya is a mid to late game item. Shen needs something to build out of "Seeker's Armguard". This item will be great for future resourceless magic damage dealers

Try building triforce. It's really good for what you're talking about.

Straight tank also works really well on him. We don't need another AP armor item. The implications for other champs are awful.

If you can't get behind either of those options, then don't play shen. He is well balanced with those concepts, and his ult makes him a threat that no other tanky champion can compare to. That's his niche. If you don't like it, I suggest you find a different champ. This item won't get made any time soon.

Tbh if I don't actually need the active, half the time I feel fine stopping at armguard for the gold efficiency and starting a better item.

Well there are multiple MR AP items, I suppose another armor one is not completely out of the question.

Ikr xD finally some agreement. I believe it should either be a small starter item or build out of Seeker's Armguard. (i never liked the fact that the item only had one build option, and it seems to have better potential for a viable dedicated ap tank item that would probably go toe to toe with raptors cloak for many ap tanks).
