I Will Never Accept These Small Shen Buffs

I will never accept these small shen buffs.

Don't be fooled by the little TU and energy buff shen acquired over the course of the last few patches. It's just Riot's way of saying "you will never get a rework, but we just need you to be good enough to keep the community quiet". I will not accept them, you hear me. Shen was made in 2010, 5 years ago, and like any other old champ deserve a shot somewhere in the waiting line if not the front. Because I believe very few champions have the potential for a successful rework like shen does, but that's just my opinion :P

Up vote if you feel the same way, ignore if you don't.

Or, you know, it's Riot's way of saying "Shen isn't in the best of spots, so here are a few minor buffs to make him not suck as hard while he waits for a rework." Just a thought.

I think its "we're afraid that we might make a Assassin/Tank, and we don't want to go back on our word. It might be crazy."

Probably, rioter agreed with me and said he needs "some work" but it's no concrete evidence of a rework. Also I saw a leak where is just gonna get another buff :/

Leak is here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/954437-league-of-legends/70343559

I dont think people realize just how long a rework takes. The Sion rework was needed since he was released, and they finally reworked it last year. I'm all for getting a little VU/TU every so often just so they at least fit in with the looks of the new SR.

All that aside, I really would love a Shen re-work so he has some sort of concrete role he can fill... His ninja theme is kinda offset by the fact he is built as a tank 99% of the time. So, I'll upvote ya Shenbro :D

Is Shen really that bad? I think he fulfills his role well.

I like shen how he is O.O

i more or less like shen but he could use some quality of life adjustments. if he does get reworked i hope he keeps his ult and maybe gets a stealth ability.

Well he is a tank soo unless they change his role (which is highly unlikely) I doubt he will get stealth. Maybe they can change his ultimate in a portal or something IDK. I really can't see them putting anything in place of his ulti that will have the same map pressure effect but personally I would like to see his dash remain, maybe change it up so it is more reliable and consistent. Passive is ok, but if you ask me I prefer utility passives that give you an edge, maybe if the damage is subtracted from his passive they will be able to buff his Q,W,E

Honestly, I think Shen just needs a new base kit. MR per level, slightly more health, and at least 345 MS.

Passive: Feint

Shen takes X% less damage from auto attacks and Y% less damage from AoE spells/abilities. After taking damage from 10 such attacks, Shen gains stealth for 1.5 seconds. Attacking or casting a spell breaks the stealth immediately. The first auto attack Shen makes after Stealth strikes all enemies around him and restores 20 Energy. While stealthed, Shen gains 30% Movement speed and can move through units.

I think this idea (feinting in and out of combat using stealth to reposition) is a fun "Ninja" reward for Shen doing his job and tanking. Mobility should be a thing for Shen as a ninja tank, not necessarily damage. (He's not an assassin.)

Q: Vorpal Blade

Make this have some counterplay and beef it up just a tad. So, linear skill shot, affects first target struck. Shen throws his blade in a straight line, striking the first enemy it hits for 60/100/140/180/220(+40% Bonus AD)(+40% AP). If Shen hits a target, he may cast "Shadow Strike" for a limited time.

Shadow Strike: Shen strikes from the Shadows, appearing behind his target and attacking them, dealing bonus magic damage equal to 4/5/6/7/8% of the target's max health and healing for the same amount.

W: Ki-Strike

Shen's next attack deals bonus magic damage equal to 35/40/45/50/55% AD (+10% Shen's bonus Health).

E: Shadow Dash

Shen dashes a short distance, cutting everything in his path dealing 30/60/90/120/150(+50%AP). Minions and monsters take double damage from this attack. Enemy Champions struck by this attack are taunted and must attack Shen for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds. Each enemy champion hit by this attack restores 30 Energy.

R: Stand United

Shen shields target ally for 200/300/400(+10% Shen's max Health)(+80%AP). After channeling for 3 seconds, Shen teleports to the ally. While Shen is channeling his Shield, all auto attacks and AoE spells/abilities vs the target of his shield counts as attacks against Shen for stacking his passive.

This makes Shen very mobile (like a ninja), and doesn't give him too much damage. He gets rewarded for drawing aggro with the ability to re-position quickly. He also has a good amount of tools for escape if he needs to split push. Thoughts?

i see a lot of things that are very similar to zed's kit, which i'm conflicted about....

love the new passive, it would probably need to be limited to once every 15 seconds or something so he doesn't go invisible too often in teamfights. it also seems a bit counter intuitive for the tank to go invisible as they can no longer soak up damage and then they are not doing their tanking job.... i guess i would rather see his stealth be controlled rather than passively applied.

would the q be intercepted by minions? is it first enemy struck or first champion, or first enemy champion? how would this react to neutral monsters for shen jungle?

his w looks a bit underwhelming

his e doing double damage to minions and monsters seems too strong.

in team fights i don't think there is any reason for the enemy to focus this shen. if he doesn't do damage and has little hard cc he will be ignored. it seems like he would be another split pushing ninja, and we already have one of those.

good stuff though. i like the addition of the stealth, i like the idea of the repositioning ninja i'm just not sure how he fits into a strategy.

Passive: Only time would tell if it needed a cooldown, in a team fight, the first time he goes invis, be would use the stealth to get to back line (hopefully) and find a squishy to stick to.

Q says first enemy hit, so its first minion/monster OR champion.

W is like his current passive, but now acts as an auto reset and scales with AD and HP rather than level and HP. Has more potential to scale.

E dealing double damage to minions only makes it 300 dmg at base, which is decent, but not unheard of or even uncommon among other skills in the game. This is primarily put there because minions/monsters don't get taunted or restore energy. Will help with his low wave clear.

Shen won't be ignored in teamfights, when he first pops out of stealth, his next attack (which could be a ki-strike) will be AoE. Also, unlike current Shen, his taunt scales.

His Q's second active also does damage based on opponents max HP. Exact numbers would still have to be played around with, but conceptually, this would still make for a great tank/initiator I think, as well as make him a bit more dynamic and fun to play.

Thanks for the resonse :)
