With the current snowball state and baron, games feel more slot-machine than ever

Get 1 bad player top that keeps feeding?

Have fun losing fb tower, herald, 3 towers and then baron 20 mins in and then your whole base, same can be applied to jungle or every other lane, specailly with everyone playing bruisers or early game mages and basically random bot lane champs all that spike early game, and as much as ppl hate adcs atleast those took some time to spike and didnt make the game snowball as fast as it does now.

Seriously riot, buff towers and nerf the baron buff already, or atleast make it so you ACTUALLY LOSE HEALTH by doing baron so the winning team doesnt get it for free.

Ok, here is something that literally confuses me about all of these post right. People say that it isn't fair how one lane losing can throw the game, why is the inverse never an option?

How is the argument BOTH "I hate that one bad lane can make me lose." AND "I hate when I get fed in lane, but can't carry." Why does this logic NOT extend to the opponent? Wouldn't they be able to literally post this same kind of post if they win lane but lose game?

Why is it NEVER "The opponent played well and deserves to win." and ALWAYS "My ally did poorly, I don't deserve to lose."

Because if you're losing 20 mins in to a uncontested baron (that you cant contest because the snowballed team snowballed and baron doesnt damage them anymore, so you're basically running into a unwinnable right if you try to stop it) because of 1 player it feels like shit.

You know whats the biggest difference between now and season 2~3 in terms of solo carry potential? Game lenght.

Back before in the game you a lot of power for doing well and getting ahead, BUT the games also lasted atleast 15 mins longer on average, which means the game always more or less lasted enough so ppl had a chance to do something to stop the snowball and comeback OR the person solo carry to just steal away the game, not to mention real catch up mechanics existed based on the solo carry fucking up/gave you a real comeback condition (max shutdown gold was 1k, which was huge) and games lasting longer meant the person had to play well for a longer duration to deserve the win, which felt not nearly as bad to lose to than it does to lose a snowballed game in season 8, baron wasant even considered until like 35 mins in so unless you're playing some kind of cheese build to specifically kill baron.

Solo carry can and should exist in this game, but games lenght cant be this short or baron/snowball this ridicuous at the same time, otherwise it has the reverse effect, hopefully you understand now.

I do remember those times, I also remember people bitching about game length, how the early game didn’t matter, and how after doing well at the start and earning your victory early, it would mean nothing because the game got dragged out to a point where your early game victory that you earned meant nothing.

The issue isn't that lets say "i should be able to solo carry, but the enemy can't" it's that the power has shifted to the worst player in the game, it's frustrating when you win lane because you're better than your opponent by a little bit, but then you see top or mid or jg getting fucking destroyed because they don't belong within 5 tiers of the rank they have, it just makes games feel pointless and luck based, and when this happens on the enemy team its a fast and easy stomp, making the 2 best players fight it out for superiority feels a LOT BETTER than seeing which of the two worst will fuck up harder.
