I feel like Graves W is lacking in something...
Whether it be the slow, the damage, or the range in which it causes players to be near-sighted, I find that it isn't something I would use often.
Even before the change, it was just there and served no real purpose only to give Graves some real ability other than pure damage. It was also neat and a new type of ability that did its job if used right and still can... That is until I saw how much better Quinn had it when her near-sight debuff would follow the enemy. Thankfully, I believe its changed now, but it still bothered me.
Graves W costs 70-90 mana just to use, so why does it feel like it lacks the "umph" it should have. It was honestly the only ability to not get changed much at all. There isn't a lot you can do with it besides locking down a enemy that is getting away.
I wish that it could get a buff, one of these bellow to help it out a little:
- I wish that the area effect would be larger as he levels it up, going from 250 to 300/350/400/450 so that its not easy to just avoid and that it actually is hard to get out of.
- I kind of wish his slow was stronger. I landed this W in front of a Janna and Ezreal and they ran through it without even getting a slow. Though it was only at level 1, I actually see the effects of other slows easily. Those inside of the smoke should be slowed, not because they got hit. And again, unless your up within the small area to shoot the ability (950 range) its not going to be easy.
- The damage on this is wrong. And its even harder to get AP on this when you're trying to focus AD and they only AD + AP item is Rage Blade (honestly, just put AP back on Trinity, it was much safer than Rage Blade). I would love to be able to actually deal some damage if I get them in the smoke screen, but its more like I just poked them more than anything. His damage on this skill shot could at least be 100/150/200/250/300 or have 100% AP instead of just 60%.
He's still able to be played, but that W still feels like it lacks something...
