Can Zed get some Minor buffs?

I'm probably going to get only downvotes for asking this (since boards are extremely biased hate towards Zed). But he honestly just feels terrible to play in any situation, if you don't play him perfectly.

I know but boards hate Zed, but ever since pre-season release he has been absolute shit to play. And almost free wins for the enemy team if they're even decently competent.

Btw he has a 46% win rate, and doesn't even get above 50% at higher tiers of play, which would be around 50+ games (The 56% win rate at 125+ is from like 1 person since season hasn't been out that long) http://champion.gg/champion/Zed

Exhaust has a long cooldown and his ult can't be dispelled anymore. He still does tons of damage. He has high skill ceiling and I think he should have a lower win rate because of that, just look at Azir. He still get nerfs. In my opinion he is fine now. He was OP before and he was never bad and I honestly think he never will.

That cooldown isn't very long late game if fights are spaced out, especially if the mid laner also takes exhaust, which is pretty common now adays. (I don't play zed btw)

"You think" - Well i disagree, the Difference between what a good Azir can do and what a good Zed can do are soooooooooo far apart. A azir can literally 1v5 an entire team if played correctly , a Zed could maybe get a double if he's insanely fed.

Zed hasn't been Op since before Mid season (When mages got massive buffs), and he especially isn't OP after the Assassin rework.

46% win rate is shit, 51% win rate is really shit if you have 75+ games on him, for a champion like Zed who should have around 54% if you proclaim this "High Skill Ceiling" for really good players.

Yes, I still think that. And no, when did you last saw Azir doing 1v5 plays? Yeah, probably never because we don't even see Azir that often. You could see it in worlds probably once or maybe when some pros played him, but that's something different, he still needs a team to do these plays, he can't and won't 1v5 solo. That's just how it is. And still, getting even one kill on carry is enought to win a teamfight and maybe even win the game.

If you want to compare high skill ceiling champions with their %win rate, let's do it then. You said Azir and Zed are so different that Azir cna 1v5 and Zed can double at the best. Well, that's not entirelly true. Azir has only ~47% win rate with 125+ games on him while Zed has ~56% win rate 125+ games. That's a really big difference, almost 10% win rate. So, yeah, the better you are with Zed the better your win rate will be. That's how high skill ceiling champs should be. On the other hand I consider Azir the hardes of them all, that's why he has so bad win rate even after so many games on him, and that's why not so many players plays him, you need to invest your time into him. You need to be good at Zed to do great. If you are good on Azir you are avarage. If you are perfect you are demi-god.

Let's compare other high skill ceiling champs, let's say Lee, Yasuo, Cassio and Riven.

Lee has ~54% win rate 125+ games Yasuo has ~55% Cassio has ~50% Riven has ~53%

So Zed has the highest win rate from all those. Do you still consider him bad if mastered? He can do so many things, he can outplay so hard and win games easily in good hands. He won't do great in unexperienced hands, but that's what I like and that's how it should be.

I wouldn't say the win rate for 56% win rate at 125+ games is very accurate since it counts from this season, and no one (maybe One or two) people have 125+ games On Zed.

Zed's also ranked 42/48 best mid laner, Azir is last (48/48), but that wasn't more of an example of his current power lvl, that was more of what he could do if Riot didn't gut him into the ground.

So no my conclusion is Zed is still pretty bad, 99% of Zed players don't have 125+ games on him, even if you have 15-50+ games on him its still at a sub-par 46% win rate, going up too 48% at 50+ and then somehow spikes 8% when people have several hundred more games on him, (because its higher then 125+)

You man are asking for way to much if you expect people have 125+ games on him to get above a 50% winrate, (If those statistics were accurate, im almost 100% sure they aren't if his win rate is jumping by 8% from 125 too 125+)

His winrate may be low but laning against him still sucks. Riot wants to keep his cool shadow and shuriken mechanics but when he can spam them infinitely in lane its really dumb to play against. Conversely he'd need a new ult to not fall off the way he does.

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

Everything about him is low not just his "winrate", no he can't spam in lane, that doesn't work. This shit only works in like silver or bronze ELO.

There is reason he hasn't been played in the LCS for over 2 years. He's too easy to beat in lane, and is insanely predictable with any amount of decent play. While thats all fine and dandy, its become to prominent over pre-season , to the point where you don't even have to try to beat him, just play any decent mage and you auto win lane.

It's still a great example, Zed and Azir. How many players have 125+ games on Azir? Zed was and still is very popular and in the times where he was just OP people started to main him and many people didn't stop maining him, now, when he is not banned everytime they can play him more. So no, not really one or two people. If you still think Zed is bad then Azir is worse than bad, he should be removed then or get a brutal buff. And he still gets nerfed. Zed have many things in his kit, mobility, ranged damage, execute move, farming helper, gap closers. He is really not bad. You just need brain to use him now. And that's great. Back then you just ulted, facerolled the keyboard and it was done. Or just used you clone to do incredible damage, switched with him and killed them with last attack. I think even his mains didn't enjoy that.

He's not AS bad as he was to play against, but he is still fully capable of doing what he does best: picking on the easiest target and gunning them down and getting away.

Guy Fox Teemo2 votes

Not at all, especially these days with exhaust and so many shields running around.

How am I suppose to get through a item 3190 , item 3401 , and summoner 3 all at the same time? Its dam near impossible. Especially since lethality is complete shit if the enemy builds even a cloth armor.

Jyoeru1 votes

IDK. I can't relate to your experiences. I find my encounters with Zed go 50/50. Last year, they were more like 25/75 as support. He forced me into buying hourglass previously, which as a support, always felt like a waste of an item to feel like you had to rush. Now I don't feel like I have to rush it against him. Kat, on the other hand. . .

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

Why would you rush hourglass as support? IF the zed is going for the support that means the Zed is pretty dam stupid....

Jyoeru1 votes

Because he would roam and delete me. Free kills. Bronze and silver games. You know. Typical shenanigans.

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

I can see why we have different experiences. Any champion is good in Bronze or Silver ELO. Therefore its really hard to notice if a champion is bad or not.

Champion.gg counts games played from 2 seasons.

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

Then that just makes there statistics incredibly inaccurate in terms of the experience part, since the game is almost completely different from 2 seasons ago. With items, champion balances, the map, etc.
