If you are a tank against Vlad is it better to buy magic resist or thornmail for the Grevious Wounds

magic resist. thornmail wont do anything

If you play a tank into Vlad you just lose. there is no win condition unless the Vlad is just bad. You are never going to do enough damage to all in him and if you damage him he will just heal off the minions until he is full again. Your only chance at all is to have your JG come and it becomes a 2v1 for him. And even then he could just puddle away from the CC

MR There is no point of buy Grievous wounds when you shouldn't be even trying to kill him his early is too safe and you can't win against him anyway and you aren't supposed to win lane as a tank anyway

vs vlad i would get early and go into normal build and finish into or depending whats best for the situation

If it were me, I'd buy MR. He can heal all day, but if I can blunt his damage, I'd buy enough time to tank the hurt for a gank.
