I think it should because getting the tower alone provides a big enough advantage. I get it was added to encourage players to take towers faster, making games go faster but it just makes the game have too much snowball.

boricCentaur12 votesI think it was season 2 I could be wrong but it was not a problem since objectives were strong and nobody really knew how to play it but around season 5 everyone was starting to do it more and more I think it was eu or china that figured out how strong it could be I may be wrong on that and then people started doing it more and more since towers were weaker back then yeah I know unbelievable and objectives were shit like pure shit and also herald was shit in season 6 and was not in 5 and old dragon was not good like just farming towers and getting gold was better then dragon and herald and also there was a lot more hyper carries then the older seasons and doing a lane swap means they could get to late faster and as time went on it was just becoming a bigger problem in season 6 since people figured it out and still got better at it to the like there were a lot of post about why it was killing pro play then at the end of season 6 riot added the changes to towers we have today killing it and making season 6 worlds one of the worst in history. Today teams will still move the bot lane to top so they get the gold after first tower but its not that much of a problem since objectives are much better and towers are harder to take. so it was always there but no one really knew how to do it and over time the game just got better for it and players got better and better at it to sum it up.

According to the viewership it was "boring" to watch because people didnt die left and right but from a strategical/tactical POV it was actully interesting. Many found out picks to fight the botlane 1v2 as the toplaner, trying to force a traditional 2v2 or just straight up towertrading is what often happened and it may seem "boring" but after that the map was open and a lot of crazy stuff happened. BEtter then four man bot (again) bot rotating top (again) taking herald (again) getting mid (again) aaand the baron dance starts.
Al Havoc2 votesIn the current state of the game I think it's necessary as it gives players more opportunities to control/carry the game. A good player knows first turret is important, and if they play to that better than their lane counterpart, they should be rewarded for it. If they game changes up next season and there are more opportunities (i don't believe there are enough now) then maybe they should consider removing it.
