Was about to say. HOLY SHIT, YOU GOT 30 MINUTES INTO A GAME. THAT'S INSANE. Honestly I thought that might have been a new record for longest game on the patch. This meta is a complete J O K E. Give back the skill riot no one wants to button mash on one item wonders to decide every game.
Sounds like pre-rework
on ADC's.

This patch is great, the turrets need to be stronger, that's the only caveat.
I dunno. I enjoy playing Kayn, but I know a lot of people who aren't too pleased with the efficiency with which I can delete people this season and get away scott-free.
Its not about how well you perform once you get to where you want to be. Its how much effort, skill, and luck was required for you to get there relative to how powerful you are.

i actually had a 47 minute game this morning

40% of games last 30min or more ...
Dude, chill the fuck out! I have 14 games in my match history right now that all ended near or past the 30 minute mark.
You're just spreading hate for no reason. I don't know how you get 10 - 20 min games. I guess that's cuz you're on NA.
You complain about Jinx? Try playing Cait/Tristana lol
You mean the ones with Dashes and self peel? Yeah must feel terrible to at least be able to run away.
Nice logic there, and Jinx is the crit adc that got hit the least.
Lets see both Cait/Tristana have more self peel than Jinx and yet they are both on 46% winrate while Jinx is sitting with a decent 49.5% winrate

You're so right. When Tristana is attacked by, say, an Eve, she can just use her W.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3PoK3ch_yE
It even makes her untargetable for over 40 seconds! That's a very strong escape.
Holy shit. I laughed so hard. Thank you.
What a nice example of trist being killed without any other context. Considering blue team had a 10k+ gold lead and 8 turrets vs 0, i'd say this CLEARLY was a fair fight between 2 people on equal terms.
You just proved to me Cait and Trist have no escape at all.

You're right again! If Trist had gotten more gold, she would've spent it on enough defensive items to survive that burst and allow Eve's ult to actually hit her instead of whiffing her corpse. An ult that just so happens to provide an instant untargetable effect with a blink, in case she needs an escape. Let's see what happens in a more even match.
Ignore this boards double postef
Alright now try this with jinx and different champions aside from Eve. There's a reason she was viable when 90% of assassins were garbage.
Actually NVM. Don't. You're right, jinx would just walk away from Eve and every other champs 1 shots trist.
Edit: I'm feeling a slight miscommunication here. I'm not saying trist or Caitlin are good enough, but you're still alot safer than jinx.

I've tried to do that, and it's a bad idea. The entire Boards go insane for even suggesting Trist could get some love.
Yeah, the sub reddit aswelll hates Tristana. And the buff she's getting on her E won't help a champ that has 46% winrate among all elos.
Tell me about it.
I tell you: Trist was kinda average since the 8.5 nerfs to her early game but it made the 8.11 stats + FleetF nerfs be even bigger on Trist cuz she's laning fase went from bad to horrible, on top of this she was a only crit adc so her core items got nerfed aswell which leads into Tristana being the worst adc in the game right now.
Riot forgot how stupid snowball meta is.
ADCs have little to no ability to kill/survive anything without items, that disability makes it hard for them to get CS in the first place Boots with 2 zeal and an IE is where you typically want to be on an ADC. How much is that? 10500. GL attaining that with nothing to get you there.
Hahaha this made me laugh. I miss longer games too. Thanks for finding a funny way of aging it
AHAHHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA HOLY SHIT LMAO UPVOTE
Still dunno why this dead joke is still being used here. Average game times atm are 25-35mins which is pretty normal for soloq.

Average games times, across all ranks, are below 30 minutes, most closer to 25, some under.

good, ADC's shouldn't be picked anyways if we're in an early game meta, it's only logical.
you wouldn't ask for renekton buffs if we would be in a late game meta would you? because this is the same, complaining a late game HYPER CARRY class is weak early/mid game is like complaining a early game class is weak late game, it's called balance
It's not a matter of them being weak, it's a matter of how weak they are. Every champion should at the very least be playable even when they are not meta.
Welcome to
's world
Useless champion for 25 mins, Solid champion at 40 mins in, unfortunately 1/100 games last that long
My games usually go about 35 mins and are pretty close
Your average game length over your last 20 games is 28:58.
For comparison, the average game duration for gold is 27:16.

And you don't think that is acceptable? Also consider the fact I play early game champs that close the game fast as well.
Considering an entire class of champions only become relevant at 30 minutes, no, it really isnt acceptable. The game is far too snowbally.
I'd much rather prefer 30-45 rather than 20-30.
I'd much rather prefer 30-45 rather than 20-30.
But then every early game champ becomes useless ? So where's the happy medium.
It does seem weird that, at max build, certain champions would be more or less strong than others.
Riot live team strikes again?

I think it goes a little more deeper than that like personally I main reksai who is a strong early game champion do when the game stretches past 30 minutes a Jax should be able to beat me in a fair fight . The problem is that if the game becomes too safe nobody will lay early game champions and everybody would play safe scaling champs which is pretty lane in my opinion. If your team takes a late game champ it should be punished. Team composition is verry important balance is needed on every team.
But if everyone is playing late game and you play early that gives you a huge edge if you are good at closing out games with the leads that should be much easier for you to get.
If you are playing late you need to try to diffuse enemy early aggression. Right now with the lane push changes, tower changes, baron changes, Herald changes, base stat changes, etc. There isn't an efficient way to diffuse the situation.
I'm a biased adc main who prefers late game team fights, but I think it's good if early game hyper aggressive champs like pantheon j4 bot can prey on me. It gives them their power phase and it gives me mine. If they play well they snowball and I'm useless and I lose. If I can hold them off I outscale them crazy hard. The problem is that the scales are heavily favoring anything that can get dominance early because of the recent objective changes.

That's just it. I'm not sure the idea of "early game champs" or "late game champs" is a good thing on the whole when it comes to relative power levels. It leads to situations where doing anything that has any influence on game duration (say, messing with turret HP or regen) has wide-ranging and hard-to-predict knock-on effects for literally every champ in the game depending on when they hit their power spikes, and leads to situations where you have significant chunks of the champion pool, at best offmeta, at worst nonviable for 98% of the player base.
Consider what would happen if there was a global balance pass on power curves. They become predictable across all classes, all champs. I'd argue this wouldn't make the game boring, because you still have the variables of team composition, itemization, macro, micro, etc. to work with.
It would also immediately surface any kit or base stat imbalances and make them stick out like a sore thumb.
This may be a bit HotS-y for people, though (in that game, the entire team levels up as one).
The fact that early game champs can get an easy lane to snowball if everyone is going late makes a huge difference in viability
[{quoted}](name=Sp33d Zer0,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=v3Lk37BW,comment-id=000600000000000100000001,timestamp=2018-06-19T16:41:02.986+0000)

I don't understand the conflict then. If I as a early game championb (reksai) can snowball my team to there late game power curve should my team not win and I did my job correctly ? As well if I play a high impact jungle and my opponent plays a low impact jungler ( Yi ) shouldn't my team come out of early game with a lead because he was busy farming ? The longer games become the more people will just play late game scalers who play safe and all the early game champs turn to shit again. Of course I'm biased because I play reksai but I see people on these boards wining for 45 min long games as a consistent time.. which is kinda silly
Your team should come out ahead. If they do not come out ahead of a low impact jungler than your team did not play around a win condition. If your team cannot play around win conditions they should lose. It's that simple. If a late game scaler cannot play safe in the early they should lose as well because they are not playing to their strength.
The difference between the two is that even in late game metas early game champs have their time frame to be most effective and set up a win. In an early game meta the same cannot be said for late game champs.
Not really. Games used to be much longer and they were still strong back then.
[{quoted}](name=Slythrin Umbreon,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=v3Lk37BW,comment-id=000600000000000100000002,timestamp=2018-06-19T23:53:14.191+0000)

Where talking about right now man where late game champions have a far larger power curve than before we are talking when Jax or yi hit there late game potential these days they two shot any early game champ.
Not really, Jax and Yi are more specific problems. ADC latgame is weaker now against most champions (Not sure about bruisers/fighters/whatever because idk what the armor usually is) and Riot hasn't really done anything to make Mage lategame's stronger. For a long time, mage late game was complete garbage unless you were Veiger, because of Rabadon's cost. I'd argue Jax and Yi shouldn't even be late game champions. Neither one of them is weak or vulnerable enough in the early game to actually justify their late power. Counterstrike is too strong of an outplay in early toplane, and Yi being a jungler makes it too easy for him to just stay isolated. It's not like he has a lane opponent to punish him directly.
"that close the game fast"
yet your average game time is higher than the average game time for gold?

My point exactly meaning that if a later game scaler was in the place of reksai I would probably see 35 - 40min games as my late game power curve comes online later.
Look at all the popular junglers leesin xin graves Warwick these are strong early game champions and the fact of the matter is that junglers usally set the tempo of the games as there ganks are usually what create snowballing lanes.
Talk about hyperbole.
You should have 6 items at 30 mins
and jinx only needs 3
