Season 5 Yi is confirmed OP AS FUCK; which I love

Skirmishers saber gives 69 true damage (very funny Riot) on hit at level 18, while reducing damage done by the target that is smited. If you farm decently (and even gank well, thanks to its passive), the devourer enchantment to the jungle item can do around 100 magic damage per hit at around 25 minutes (this enchantment is like a Feral Flare, but on crack). You get 50% attack speed, so you can spend money on Merc Treads for the tenacity, without losing the necessary damage. Overall, Yi's one jungle item should do around 40 something true damage per hit to a smited target for 6 seconds, around 100 magic damage per hit, reduces a target's damage to Yi by 20% for 6 seconds, and gives 50% attack speed at around 30 minutes. That is RIDICULOUS. And ALL OF THIS only costs 2,250 gold. Just one item slot for 100 magic damage, 40 true damage, 50% attack speed, and 20% damage reduction. The rest of the slots can still house Yi's core item build (with the added Merc treads instead of the normal berserker greaves).

Confirmed, Yi can fuck some people up HARD now. I guarantee, he will be on one of the next few nerf lists (or the item will).

Lol youd have to be fucking retarded to think Devourer isnt getting nerfed.

But I did just play a game as Yi Jungle with Skirmish+Devourer, I kept on getting cc'd and blown up in teamfights though, never really had much of a chance to use the Smite True damage in a 1v1. Had like 120 bounus damage on devourer by like 35 mins

Uh well its kinda the truth. Feral Flare got nerfed almost immediately upon release, and this thing is a damn Flare on steroids

Eeyup; that is exactly what I said in my original post too. I was just saying that calling people retards is rude because it is. I am not a liar, I say it straight.

Looks interesting if he can get throught the jungling part with the new difficulty. But I honnestly downvoted because I'm alergic to the words "OP" and "FUCK" and "confirmed" For some reason, I still don't seem him having a place in high level play. I'll be very happy to be proven wrong.

I'm still worried man. I just jungled with Nautilus and for someone as tanky as him it was very difficult. Any tips for staying alive with Yi then?

Its really not hard with Yi, I just followed the season 4 jungle route. Get leash from blue > do wraiths >do red

Sit around for a bit after red and heal up with W and either gank or do golems.

I drank both health pots as Yi during the wraiths. I alpha striked over the first hit of red buff, then wacked it a few times and used W while waiting for Q to come back off CD, used the Q and wacked + smited red to death.

From then on just grab Skirmishers on first back, and devourer whenever possible, and jungle is easy as piss from then on out.

Same as in the past, go in at proper times. This has always been Yi's thing (except after the initial rework, where he could go in and blow anyone up whenever he pleased). This does not make Yi godlike, because he is still squishy, but he now deals twice the damage he used to much quicker. End game, he should be about the same, but in the early game, he CRUSHES even early game junglers.

So. Do the Yi thing, and go in when it is opportune, do not think you are god and rush into a bunch of CC heavy champs that haven't burned their CC yet and expect to live. He is OP for the same reason Kat is/was (dunno how her nerf will affect her), she can dump TONS of damage into a team and get resets to fuck EVERYONE up if she is not CC'd properly (which a smart Kat will go in at the right time; when all of their CC is down, they are low health, or they are alone).

being tanky doesn't mean squat if your damage to creeps is so pitiful that it takes you 3-4 x as much time as other junglers to clear.

do NOT play naut in new jg, he's even worse than he was in s4 because now he gets even lower and the red/blue invade is going to rape you in that rusty butthole every time.

Another thing that will have a positive impact on Yi's viability in the S5 jungle is the unneeded gutting of Rammus who was one of the only consistent counters to Yi with his natural resistances allowing him to stack health against Yi's true damage, plus his ability to make the Wuju Bladesman stand in place whilst murdering himself with his own autos. With Rammus out of the picture the only real champion capable of consisently wrecking Yi in a duel is Jax who has been made grossly unsuitable for jungling with the nerfing of his base health and armor/level.
