needs a compensation

Crit penality is here to reduce the power of doubling the crit stats in mid game. If you're nerfing it even more you need to buff the late game

make it 200 at lvl 16

That's not a bad idea, actually. Might help even him out from early game. BUT, if you're going to do that, your numbers suck.

If you weaken him early game, he has to be stronger late. Such is the way of balance. So at Lvl 16, it should be over 200%, since that's his native value, right?

Yeah, if you reduce someone's early game power you should give them something nice for the late game.

Ohh wait... Shaco

he deserves a gut anyway

And then we can compensate him for these nerfs! Stronger late game!

All these people want to nerf Yasuo's crit when a Yasuo with 0% crit was tearing open their asshole just a few patches ago.

Preach.

Still, 'double stat' is a shitty mechanic no matter how you throw it.

yasuo with item 3046 at 12 min

gl against that

item 3087 is better as a standalone item.

How about no and that he's already dumb enough to lane against mid/late

I'd say replace his crit passive with more target-agnostic damage on his other abilities: for example, if Steel Tempest dealt current health damage, instead of flat damage, it would naturally scale more smoothly, while dealing less overall damage to squishies, including in lane. One of Yasuo's issues right now is that he deals so much raw flat damage that, when ahead, he can kill squishies far too quickly, whereas he struggles to make a dent in tankier enemies until he reaches that point. As a light fighter, Yasuo should be taking some time to kill his opponents, but should be able to kill anyone, given enough time, whereas right now he plays a lot like an assassin, especially when his crit passive gives him bursts of flat damage on every attack.

so, he's doing what ADC are doing and he needs a rework?

Marksmen are another can of worms entirely, and I do think they need a bit less raw damage as well, but unlike Yasuo, they have good enough reach to not usually need target-agnostic damage. As a light fighter, Yasuo needs to have the tools to deal with any opponent, since he can't really choose the exact target he wants all the time or hang back until he can. What I'm proposing is to buff Yasuo versus tankier opponents, while reducing his overall burst, which exceeds that of pretty much any marksman.

no you are not, it's a flat nerf against everyone. Not only are you making him spend longer killing squishies, you are also making him essentially kill tanks in about the same time (if not even a bit slower!) how is that a buff in any way shape or form? "light fighters" DO NOT want to take their time killing anyone, they want to go in, destroy their target and then either get out or switch targets. They do not have the means to survive taking damage for long so them taking their time does not work in the slightest. Tanks and Bruisers are the ones who want to take their time killing people since they are able to take quite a bit of punishment before dying

Current health damage eventually beats flat damage in most cases against tanks. This is how light fighters work, and you are confusing their play pattern with that of assassins. Unlike assassins, who typically have great long-ranged mobility, but poor personal defenses, light fighters have more short-ranged, persistent mobility, and a host of situational defenses that let them absorb, mitigate or negate incoming damage, e.g. Wind Wall, Riposte, Way of the Wanderer's shield, etc., which is what allows them to survive better in protracted combat. Because light fighters have good sticking power, but poor target access and escapes, they should be able to take on any opponent, but shouldn't be able to burst anyone down too quickly either, hence why they should have target-agnostic damage.

He is more of an assassin tbh.

He can kill tanks if he ults them. Otherwise, he shouldn't be able to.

That's true, Yasuo's more like an assassin than any other light fighter, but he still runs along many of the same rules, and the fact that he lacks target-agnostic damage is part of his current problems: currently, Yasuo isn't amazing against tanks, which is fine, but he counters mages really hard in lane already, thanks to his shield and Wind Wall. Coupled with his scalings and flat damage, that means he easily snowballs in mid lane and can quickly force out his opponent, despite being intended to start out weak. Flat-out nerfing his damage is a possibility, considering he's too strong at the moment, but there's a point past which doing that would prevent him from functioning properly against more durable opponents. Shifting his damage to make him more target-agnostic would prevent him from hard-countering certain mages in mid lane matchups, while allowing him to fare better in the jungle.

Jungle? Do you mean top?

Him building lifesteal means he can still fight tanks who don't have heavy damage/can kite him.

Teridax681 votes

No, I mean jungle, since percent health damage is really good against monster camps. Depending on how you balance it, it could be in the same ballpark as his current top lane damage. I don't think Yasuo needs buffs to top lane, specifically, but he does need target-agnostic damage, and if that makes him too strong there, he should receive nerfs that would make it easier for top laners to deal with him.

Yeah you know that snowball champion? Let's gut his early game so he can't snowball.
