I honestly think the aatrox rework was a relative success minus one glaring issue

Putting his revive on his ultimate so it's on demand instead of having to play around CLEAR windows of power not tied to ult CD (his old passive) was a massive mistake.

I think his current revive iteration manages to be more toxic than old aatrox while the rest of his kit manages to be less toxic than old aatrox.

His revive being gated to his ultimate and building up over time presents you with two options:

  • Disengage and just let it time out.
  • Take him down quickly so he only revives with a paltry amount of HP, forcing him to flee or die.

Besides which, I'd consider his ultimate's cooldown to be a "clear window of power". It's pretty long at earlier ranks.
