Someone tell me how to lane against quinn as a melee champion with less than 2 gap closers

might be fine. Trade the shield blows when passive is up, deny quinn's E with poppy's W, do poppy's thing then walk away. That's about the best you can do early game, but once you grab your sunfire I think it's gg.

I can outfarm a Quinn with Garen in diamond elo. I feel like you guys just suck horribly in melee vs. ranged matchups. Sure, you have to play like a bitch quite a bit, control the wave well, and take good backs, but it's hardly a death sentence.

You don't, and pretty much have never been able to. Quinn's always been a huge toplane/melee bully, she's just surfacing again because of lethality. you don't have to take a melee champion top though, last time quinn top was somewhat meta, that's around the same time mages top became more common.

avoiding her Q will lower her damage quite a bit, also, there's a timing thing going on with her E, you can cancel the backward dash but only if you cast your cc while she's mid-air. so if you dodge her Q, she'll be somewhat forced to E towards you and then you cancel it and she's in melee range...

it's not 100% doable though so... I don't know, she's been broken ever since she got reworked, this was admitted by Riot btw xD they just haven't done anything because for some reason, Quinn isn't popular

You try to avoid a matchup like that. It's like trying to outplay darius as irelia. Or try to 1v1 against zed as adc.. You just don't. If you can't avoid playing such lane, you need to play safe and rely on your team.

, play it really save early on and accept that you drop in cs, it's not a big deal on malph, and once you have your ult you can turn it around. As soon as se pushes up to the tower, you can go all-in and have high chances of killing her, else you atleast force her back. And with your jungler around, your ult basically becomes a free kill. And in teamfights, the malph certainly has a huge impact, even if nehind in gold.

But yea, ranged toplaners are generally hard to deal with as melees, and Quinn easily is the worst of them all if played correctly.

These two champions have an extremely strong counter engage. In the case of Poppy angle and timing is most important.Stopping the aggression from quins E with steadfast Presence interrupts her standard damage combination and effectively removes on instance of her passive proc. If you can combine this with a wall slam from heroic charge you'll win almost every trade. Even when you can't get the stun off you're likely to trade even when you're careful. Be sure to also make heavy use of your passive, it makes a large difference.

Camille needs to trade smartly when her passive is up. You can actually lose the trade if you carelessly jump in on Quinn and get hit with her E. Rather You want to Use your Q to initiate on Quinn. Wait for her E Then grapple to a wall in the grass and leap on her. With your passive up and the Colossus keystone, you'll walk away with much more damage on the counter engage.

These two actually o very well against Quinn as well. After Six Ekko's ability to reset a fight (op as it is^^) can allow you to trade, run and re-engage from a favorable angle, especially if said Quinn attempts to back off in the path of your R. Fiora is more of a skill game, Block the E with you Risposte and you'll be free to take some early swings before the trading begins.

Other champions do well against Quinn but i won't name everyone i've had trouble with. For less mobile champs the thing to remember is that she excels the most is the early trades. I often take ignite top lane because I know that I'll win the fight if the enemy laner decides to go hard on me or isn't paying attention to my position. If Quinn can get roughly 2 early kills it may well mean your lane is screwed. So unless you're baiting for your jungler, don't wag your on the far side of the lane.

Oh and Also This thing. Its not so popular anymore which is part of the reason Ranged Top lanes are seeming so oppressive.

Who specifically are you playing? Because plenty of melee top laners without 2 dashes easily beat her in Lane 1v1: sion and maokai for example.

Now, let's hypothetically say you mean someone like darius. Change your build. Rush armour, base early and tp back to Lane with an item advantage in extra armour. Let her push and don't bother last hitting unless you can get enough out of it to make it worth her harass. Call your jungler for ganks, she's easily gankable.

Option two - drop tp and take exhaust. All in her after she uses e.

Then there's the outplay potential. If you cc her as she tries to use e you completely screw her. Free kill. Learn to predict her e.

And if all else fails? Sit back and play passive, even without farm you'll outscale her if you don't feed kills.

1st step: curl up in the fetal position, cry & ask whatever god or goddess you believe in what you have done to deserve this. 2nd: passively farm like a bitch while she roams mid & gets a double kill 3rd: Get armor by the time she has 15 kills & valor is gouging the eyes out of your bot lane. 4th & final: repeat step one as they win the game.

Play safe, dont let her snowball, farm under turret, wait for gank. Laning phase will suck but if she doesn't snowball she's useless (like most assassins)
