I am someone who only has fun with the game when i win,i dont like losing,i dont have fun losing,i dont have fun losing my lane,i dont have fun getting carried,i dont have fun winning my lane going 10/1/4 and still losing the game.

I was recently started getting bored of the same shit champions every single god damn game and i thought "fuck it" So i started playing champions like Yorick Ryze Anivia RekSai Kalista

I have a great time losing a game,losing because of my team or even getting carried by them when i play those champions...

I get the feeling you get when you start playing a newly released champion every time i play the above mentioned characters..people play like they havent seen those champions again in their lives..

You Q W Q E Q someone as Ryze and he goes "wtf broken as champion" because meta taught them that Ryze is a useless piece of shit...they look up his winrate thats below 44% and think he is a weak champion...please...

I just wanted to get that out there,if you are someone who is getting bored of the game try and play something "unique" something you dont see every 2 games..youll probably get fucked in the beginning by every meta slave playing Irelia Akali Kaisa Zed Yasuo but after like 10 games youll fuck most players up,because they dont know what Mordekaiser 's W does or how much damage can a Ryze with item 3070 can output or a Kalista with item 3153 item 3006

I have been two times 14 day banned because i flamed my team in the past because they were losing,thats how much i hated losing. The past couple of weeks i feel like a different person..

C9 said fuck it and brought in Top lane TP/Ignite hecarim to run the bastard down. Off-meta can bring out some surprising counters, for sure.

I seriously recommend AP Malphite . Super fun, and people underestimate your damage. Gets poked easily but can nuke a squishy.

Seems rock solid advice. Don't take it for granite. Playing Malphite is truly metamorphic. Though remember if you feed, it's all basalt. You might yell God garnet because of his mana pool is small; however, he has best butte in the game. Malphite

Off meta comps are the best thing ever. I recently played a game with K6 top, twitch jgl, singed mid and Syndra/ Kayn bot with a couple of friends. We lost HARD, forreal our toplane was getting stomped, midwas getting stomped, bot and jgl were actually pretty even, well twitch jgl and syndra adc is a pretty solid pick. But despite all, it was the most fun I ever had playing this shit game.

What do you do when you're trying to go off meta and your team won't cooperate with you? I mean raging, dc'ing, refusing to work with your champ comp?

Can't exactly win just by muting. If your support abandons bot for instance and goes top instead, you can't make any team plays without a team. If they intentionally ignore every ping and every directional action of yours.

It's a common misconception for people to think, not meta = useless af, there was a time this was true, but modern league it's not. I kinda persisted on that, and ended up being a fill main.

Ryze is actually a really strong champ, though his win rate says otherwise, it's a matter of either the team doesn't know how to play with him, or the player itself doesn't know how to play Ryze.

The only champions that are really useless are champions that are trash tier for that role. Like trying to play amumu top, have fun, you have a very few match ups you win, otherwise, you can barely farm, or trade. Pretty much get perma perssured, and play from behind.

While Amumu doesn't win too many Top lane matchups, in the ones he does win he's one of the strongest proxy farmers since he loses no health and his E ramps up extremely fast. If he's against a low waveclear AD champ, you'll just have an absolutely silly time perfect farming and having minimal risks (for a proxy farmer).

RekSai is sleeper OP. I say this as someone who mains her, she's a fucking beastly jungler.

Yorick is one of the best split pushers ( & duelists) in the game. He's not weak; just not the king of toplane.

Ryze & Kalista are 'eh' in solo que, but they're pretty far from what we've seen before. Riot didn't quite knock Klista down to nerf Olaf / Eve tier, and Ryze is mostly just weak because his ulti requires team coordination.

Anivia is far from weak. She's not a bursty mage, but she has peerless wave clear and is absolutely capable of controlling fights.

I'm not sure where this "Off meta = garbage" perception comes from. I've always aimed to play off-meta champs, and it's not too difficult to find a couple which perform as good (or better) than the S-tier picks in everywhere but the zenith of competitive play.

Yeh i tend top be the same - i dont play off meta picks pureposely i play champions i enjoy... Lissandra, xerath etc and just seeing reactions of people makes it more fun but there are times where if i play an off meta pick like say kalista i dont have fun just because i feel like im being way too heavy

Well, yeah, playing for fun instead of for the win does happen to kinda lead to have more fun while winning less. :p

Also, a level 2 Fiddlesticks mid can outduel a level 3 Katarina, easily. I didn't know that; the enemy Katarina didn't either. XD

Once they nerfed all the damage keystones to increase the time to kill again, the game has definitely gotten great again despite the wacky ride of this season. My favorite thing of recent seasons despite each of them having major down sides, is the increase of diversity people seem to not notice, because they're too focused on meta.

Since the introduction of keystones, as much hate they get, and was deserved at the time, the game has slowly reduced the gap between S tier champs, and I have no clue what the lowest tier people will say, so maybe I'll put F and lowest, so they reduced the gap between S tier, and maybe as low as C tier champs, that an average player can do well with those champions, and not needing to main them just to find even moderate success, and I know this first hand, as that's just how I play.

Something people really forget is that THE "meta" champions are just the ones best at a position for a variety of reasons- that doesn't mean the other champions aren't good in their own way.

I for example never jungle and am well aware I need to shore up on it- so I went into a Blind Game as Rammus Jungle. Rammus' Flash Q+E remains one of the most crippling CC combinations in the game and his clear is actually quite good- I went from Red (Smited to kill), Raptors, Wolves, Blue, and my Smite wasn't even back up by the time I started Blue- in fact I don't believe it was back until afterwords as I immediately got off a successful top gank and had the Smite left to tax a minion before backing.

Rammus isn't THE meta jungler right now. But he's still effective and still works. He has weaknesses in that he can't duel early but he's still entirely viable in the jungle. Now yes- I won ending the game 7/3/20 but even had I lost- I was still having fun. I've always played what champions I want regardless of meta- League's more fun that way.

This is why I love playing Twitch support with Inspiration 2nd rune set up, Approach Velocity rune, magical footwear rune + Typical Precision rune tree. Use relic shield, level 1 to 6 as W E E Q E R (twitch's Q isn't really needed until level 4 on bot lane, alot of people fight at level 3 and with this set up with 2 on his E and 1 on his W you gain tons of movespeed by chasing the enemy and you can just chomp their hp down so easily. then when the enemy notices you are too fast at so early in the game they start to flash but before they can heal you can execute them with E and maybe the 6 stack poison. twitch does work with frozen mallet, that means you'll always be chasing the enemy and you or you're actual adc will get a kill.

I've been doing alot of Kled jungle which has the same Twitch rune setup but replaced Approach Velocity with free biscuits so he can never lose skaarl in the jungle and easily trade against other junglers early in game.

I'm not a big fan of yasuo but I actually did have fun with him recently by playing him tanky and just running around being a pain in the ass to the enemy team in team fights.

AD thresh is still fun to play.

Tank-donger or Tank-mo are still enjoyable for me to play to.

It is indeed a weird time. If you take Malphite mid, for example, you win most of the time. Many meta mid champs just cannot handle this guy in lane.

One of my favorite “off-meta” picks is Shyvana top. With e max I can absolutely burst down people when I get lvl 6. I just tell my jungler to focus on bot until I am past lvl 6 and to try and get the dragons for my passive.

Against something like a darius I do sometimes get my ass beat in slightly but usually I get a positive KDA on her and become the powerhouse of my team.

Shyvana can actually beat Darius if you have Swifties, a Ruby Crystal, and attack speed from somewhere. Ignite or Exhaust for added insurance. Just stay inside his Q and play around his E > Q combo (which most Dariuses aren’t likely to use anyway - the normal combo is E > AA > W > Q).

If you are winning with THOSE champs against the meta champs then it means you are playing against people who don't have a lot of games on the champs. Try to play someone who mains that meta champ with your troll pick and then we'll see.
