But... but Riot Phreak said the pros don't play OP champs, they play champs they enjoy playing.
At this point, I'm genuinely surprised when people deny that LB is one of the best, if not the best mid lane champion.
Anyone with an ounce of experience going against her well know the tremendous advantage she has. If one plays melee or a short range champion against her, she can unleash unavoidable poke that deals more than half the health bar at level 3 with Q, W, E.
If one plays a long range skill shot champion... well, LB is probably the most mobile champion in game.
Technically, her wave clear is non-existent under tower. But for most champions to push that heavily, they make themselves easy targets for LB to kill. Her W jukes faster than that of Zed's. Despite being technically a skill match up, LB has the advantage of a faster, more reliable combo with more damage.
In most cases, the only measures against LB is to try not to feed her and outscale her in team fights.
A lot of OP champions get picked a lot by idiots who then proceed to lose the game. Nothing new.
If her winrate is below 50%, it's most likely due to scrub players that don't know her well enough to play her good enough. Meaning she isn't freelo.
Freelo is a term to describe a champion that anybody can pick up and destroy the enemy team with, because they are overpowered and no just easy to play.
Pointing out players that are at the top of the solo queue ladder and also pointing out their most played champions are literally the biggest contradictions to the term "freelo".
I would LOVE for Riot to ban assassins for a month. It would be funny to see how fast assassin mains plummet in the rankings.
looking at list seems people are realizing Rengar is a really good champ. I seeing him more often now kicking lots of butt.
Here are the problems that I have with LeBlanc:
Not only does she have TWO dashes that deal massive damage on impact, she can revert back to the starting point of either dash without a waiting period/hesitation after the initial dash.
She has a root for extra kiting to secure a kill or escape if the player somehow manages to mess up the double dash.
Her main damage combo is initiated by a point an click ability (q) instead of a skill-shot.
So why is this a problem?
With this kit, she's simultaneously allowed to push the lane, harass the enemy laner, dodge skill-shots to avoid taking damage, and avoid ganks. Now, it does take some correct timing to pull off all of these at the same time, BUT no other champion, especially an ap mage, has as many options in lane. She's by far the best mid laner, and the only reason that she has a lower w/r is when the player doesn't know how to transition to teamfights (or when someone, somehow gets more fed than her in another lane/lanes).

5/10 mid mains choose LB. 5/10 ADC mains choose kalista. I wont put all the numbers down, but most junglers choose Rek Sai, with the second most being rengar. Supports choose Janna and Thresh. all this does is show that the top of the ladder tends to use the same handful of champions.
LB is as much freelo as kalista, thresh, janna, reksai, and rengar WHEN YOU GET TO THE TOP OF CHALLENGER. if her winrate is low across the rest of the tiers, then she obviously isnt freelo - it might be freelo if youre a pro, but the <50% winrate shows that its not freelo if you arent.

She has not changed once since they removed her silence and my god what a day of crying that was. It doesn't help when theres a Sej or Gragas in every damn game with an AoE CC ult, who wouldnt choose a mid laner with the highest possible mobility to avoid all that? If they nerf her she will become "unviable" again like she did when they removed her silence and then in three months she'll be "broken" again when people pick her back up. Posts like this are creating a stigma, when lower tier players see blanc in champ select now they shit themselves and lose the game mentally before they even begin.
A fine case of cherry picking indeed. Regardless, she isn't freelo unless you know how to play her well ... which is pretty difficult against competent opponents.
