Ocean drake breaks champions with both in-combat sustain and mana dependancy once they get it

Prime example Maokai, others Yorick, Gragas, probably Swain if he gets buffed to viability ever again.

It's fine for the buff to be strong, I generally like new drakes very much, but the condition to keep game competitive with such important objective being random is if both teams always benefit. Other 3 drakes fit this criterion, but Ocean is noticeably stronger on some champs, especially on Maokai, even more so when paired with item 3065.

Let me stress - this is not rant on state of those champions or ocean drake in general. It's about randomness, especially in competitive: Maki's team will gain great advantage if Ocean drake spawns early - enemy team will need to deny this drake from them, or face high probability of defeat while they gain much less benefit from it.

it's crazy that the sustain works in combat but cloud drake only works out of combat

Yeah Ocean Drake OP. Infernal Drake slightly less OP.

Cloud Drake , garbage. Earth Drake, mega garbage.

Some drakes being more important than others is fine, I mean it's not cool but it's doesn't have that much of negative effect on game - Infernal is OP, but it is so for both you and for the enemy. Cloud might be garbage, but it is than always garbage. Meanwhile Ocean is worth far more for champions that both rely on in-combat regen, and are very effective with mana - i.e. Maki will regen health from it, and it will llow him to hold his ult up for longer, and SV increases it's value for him. Same deal about Swain if he gets buffed to point where he is worth playing at all again.

Meanwhile most other champions mostly use either mana regen, or health. On the other hand, there are champions like Talon, who don't benefit from any part of buff really.

That's not okay, in solo Q less so, but in competitive it can decide the game by luck of a draw. And Maki is contested pick right now, so it will happen sooner or later.

Cloud Drake is the weakest, But earth and Fire are incredibly OP. 3 Fire Dragons, is a free Rabadons Passive, Earth Dragons are true damage to turrets and Epic Monsters, again, Very op, and Ocean is meh overall. Just gives mana and health. Its its of missing health, not Overall health. So I would rather have Earth or Fire over Ocean any day of the week.

Earth is garbage.

Turrets are still extremely weak and it's a very flimsy bonus. Ocean provides massive sustain map-wide, it is the difference between winning an extended team fight and losing the game. Earth is just garbo.

Earth is all objective control. And with how op Objectives are right now, Earth is very good.

Ocean has a nerf on the Pbe right now. I'm guessing they'll keep watching it though.
