Nimbus Cloak - by Riots own definition - belongs in the Domination Tree
Nevermind the fact that I think Nimbus Cloak is pretty meh except in very specific and choice scenarios. Nevermind the fact that it's basically a weaker Phase Rush which already is NOT BEING USED by basically anyone.
For anyone not in the know, Nimbus Cloak is a new rune coming to Sorcery that gives you a decaying movement speed buff whenever you use your ultimate. This is essentially aimed at ultimate divers driven champions and assassins. It is designed to synergize with the upcoming AD rework. It is not really for mages. Someone Like Ryze, Zilean, Ziggs? they all get very little-to-use out of it.
**But anyway, My main point here is that by the very definitions established by Riot, there is NO WAY that Nimbus Cloak belongs in Sorcery and Ultimate Hat belongs in Domination. **
Domination: Burst Damage & Target Access Nimbus Cloak is the very definition of Target Access. It certainly doesn't Manipulate any resources. I guess you could make an argument that it 'Empowers the Ultimate' but I still think that makes little sense.
Sorcery: Empowered Abilities & Resource Manipulation There really aint much resource manipulation IN this tree anymore, but there is really no way you could argue that Nimbus Cloak belongs here when Domination exists.
So - just a few questions for the team @ riot:
1.) Are you trying to make these tree's more flexible? If so, do you need to change the definition of the tree so that you can broaden what kinds of abilities fit into the tree?
2.) By definition, Nimbus Cloak is basically Phase Rush - does this mean you plan on removing Phase Rush in favor of something that's actually picked? Are you guys having trouble coming up with ideas for new runes?
