In short games, it's disturbing that nasus is unstoppable.

He's at 53% win rate with 8-10% pick rate. Every time when I play with that champ on my team or enemy team, you can't stop him. If his team isn't all 0/10, he's gonna be so hard to deal with. He needs something taken away from him, ult q reduction is just plain stupid, his wither is actually insane - might as well be a 3 second stun cuz you can't move anyway. I just watched an ezreal not being able to escape from 1 wither with E and flash and heal, he still died. I won games cuz of nasus and lost games cuz of him. You can camp him all you want, but that fucker will just stack q and always be a threat. You can kite him yes in 1v2's and shit like that, in teamfights 5v5 it's really hard to focus him and ignore enemy 3 other dmg dealers. And he's so tanky and has insane dmg.

Nasus Ornn Zoe ... i totaly agree. And contrary to our monkey they don't even need to manage their mana

AlienPrimate2 votes

Kind of like when Nasus dove me under tower when I was Taric with my ult up and I thought he was completely out of mana. He proceeded to use his ult, w, e, and Q me 7 times to kill me then walked away with 3/4 HP. His mana bar looked completely empty but he was able to use 10 spells still.

You have to understand that the last buff he got was massive.Nasus used to be shit first 15-20 minutes back in the day, but now you basically just have to survive with him till level 6, at that point if you have a item 3057 you will probably win level 6 all in vs most toplaners, since his dps is now doubled during ult. These new runes are also perfect for him, even when klepto will get nerfed, he will still be powerful as fuck with grasp, I played him with that and had great results aswell.

Barcid2 votes

He wasn't even that bad at the start of the game. The issue for Nasus is that he's always been one-dimensional - "I do damage". It's the same thing when Darius is strong or when Mordekaiser isn't bugging out long enough to function properly - their power budget is dumped purely into killing something.

The massive issue with Nasus is that while Darius and Morde were made to require more interaction besides just point-and-click, Nasus remains identical to how he's always been but with twice the clicking potential. Nasus has no outplay potential on either side - you straight up have to just outdo him. So now he's even more stuck in this eternal hell where what top-laners he survives against he dominates and what top-laners he gets shit on by he still gets face-rolled hard, probably harder only because of the snowballing in this game right now.

I go against a Nasus with Yorick, it's one of the easiest lanes besides quite literally only when he hits 6 for that initial level (that is if I haven't already built most of my first item off of eating him up until that point) - after the first time he ults, it's back to chucking my ghouls on him and watching him eat shit before he has to back and bawls to his jungler to salvage him.

Nasus straight up needs some kind of goddamn interactivity put into his kit. Until that happens, no matter what you do to his numbers the strategy will always just boil down to "overpower him early", and that's a fucking stupid concept of counterplay.

XxDRAGONsAK47xX13 votes

I went against a Nasus a little bit ago.

Enemy jungler ganked me 2 times in 3 minutes. I died twice cause of Nasus W.

was never able to kill him.

Riot's idea of a nerf: 3 AD off of Vayne.

Riot's idea of a buff: Doubling Nasus' DPS.

Bears Dont Care10 votes

ITT: ADC's complain that a juggernaut smashed their face in by using his abilities.

Also ITT: People who don't know how to play against Nasus who is lulz worthy in terms of counter picking, counter builidng, and counter strategy.

BigPapaJSwaggins2 votes

Almost all counter picks to nasus use zoning threat, and trades that indirectly push the wave. Meaning they are going to get camped and nasus will q stack, or they wont have lane pressure and just soft-zone him while he e farms. Problem right now is Nasus isn't as punishable as he once was. Also lanes that can punish him early have much harder time doing it now that he starts with 700-800 with his rune setup.

PowerSlave9937 votes

The only way to win against Nasus is if you get a good ADC.

Good ADC like Varus, Vayne can kill him pretty easily.

He was buffed in last patches and that made him so strong...

Ahri Baka5 votes

Vayne only .. Varus can suffer from Nasus too and it's hard to kite him with the slows he does , 2 seconds root on Varus ult isn't enough , besides in 5 vs 5 fights , there are other damage dealers , using Varus ult on Nasus is more like trolling tbh ..

Anu3isII2 votes

QSS is a must against Nasus, especially as an ADC. I would say Varus isn't great though, I prefer Ashe when kitting big monsters. Executioners also destroys Nasus.

No matter how good he is, his weakness has always been kitting. As long as he doesn't touch a thing, he is melting.

Ahri Baka2 votes

Yeah but His W cd has 7 seconds cd , it's short , he won't die in 7 seconds , yeah I think Ashe is better for this too while his w is on cd , he can just attack our tank in fights or any melee to life steal from him and when his w is up again , he'll go for the adc or for the mage

redniwediS7 votes

According to lolalytics he has an average win rate of 53%. This does seem high until you dig deeper.

His win rate with Kleptomancy is 56%. His win rate with all other keystones is 50% and below.

Let's focus on the real problem here, shall we?

T4underbolt1 votes

The problem is ultimate basically doubling your stacks. So at 150 stacks which is like 10 minutes at best you can 1v2 with ease. The 50% cd reduction on ult should go away.

redniwediS4 votes

If the problem was the Q CDR on his ultimate wouldn't Nasus have a higher win rate without Kleptomancy? He has a 50% win rate and lower without Klepto, so so why exactly would nerfing anything but Klepto be a good idea here?

You're basically trying to nerf a champion with a 50% win rate with this change.

T4underbolt1 votes

No im trying to nerf a champion that for some reason need to have double the dps the moment he hits his ult. His stacks are doubled the moment he uses his ult. Imagine Veigar could get 18 freaking seconds where his stacks are doubled. This is what happens during nasus ultimate which is not healthy because when you shut him down in lane and put resources into screwing him I dont want to see him 5 minutes later 1v1ing me or anyone else because he popped his ult.

redniwediS2 votes

You're focusing on the wrong parts of him.

If it was not for Kleptomancy keeping Nasus's win rate above 50% no one would consider any Nasus nerf threads as reasonable right now. I find it ridiculous that anyone would want to nerf a 50% or lower win rate champion, which is exactly what you get when you consider Klepto to simply be overpowered and remove it from the discussion at hand.

T4underbolt1 votes

Leblanc before changes with silence in her kit had 45% win ratio. Does it mean she was weak and balanced? No. She was broken and had no counterplay. Nasus has no counterplay as well. The problem is 50% cd reduction on Q which doubles his stacks. So you could've zone him and put behind so he won't have as many stacks as usual but he pops ultimate and like this doubles his DPS/stacks and can 1v1 you regardless of being behind.

redniwediS1 votes

Is that why his win rate is at 50% or below? Is that why he has no counterplay?

The stats show that he has counterplay, when not using Kleptomancy. Focus on the real problem, not what you personally dislike about him.

T4underbolt1 votes

It's because there are more broken picks than Nasus. Just because there is something more broken doesn't mean Nasus is not toxic in design and problematic. I didn't even mention his W which is complete bollocks. Leblanc had a toxic design and was a problem but once you picked kassadin you won by default. He was more broken than her. Did it mean lb shouldn't be nerfed? No. She needed nerfs/changes beside other champs being even more broken. The same thing is now with Nasus. Klepto just increased the amount of problems you get when playing Vs Nasus.

redniwediS1 votes

I'll admit that being able to beat a champion does not mean it's fun, but I don't post stats like this on threads that are clearly talking about quality of play, instead of the strength of the champion.

I main the guy, and I say, yeah he's gotten stronger, but I guess that's due to the current meta. Farming. And that's his forte, although he looses pretty easily to most skirmishers early. Renekton, Darius, Teemo, Xin Zhao, even Camille. It's just the masteries can buff him so much, same with Darius, he goes with almost any mastery tree, and he gets strong from them. As long as Nasus can farm semi-easily, he gets some items, he is unstoppable. That's his trait I guess. Otherwise, Nasus started coin, which instantly gives him a farming advantage, he just needs 1-2 building items and he jumps in strength As for the Ezreal, I'd love to see that play because one of his jumps is enough to get himself out of range, and the flash can completely loose the Nasus. It's either a really stupid Ezreal, or an insanely smart Nasus

What's moronic to me is that Nasus is actually worse LATE GAME now than he is in the mid game. Pre level 3 he still gets rekt, but after that and especially after he hits 6 he is basically a god even if he gets 50% of the stacks he should've gotten. It's only when the enemy team is full build and they have some dumb shit like a Vayne or Brand who can shred max health that they can kill Nasus. He always used to fall off in like the late late game a little bit before but the asinine amount of damage everyone has actually means that Nasus is useless if the game is longer than like 30 minutes, which goes against everything the champion is supposed to stand for. But then again, games don't really go longer than 30 minutes anymore so it's not like it matters.

Harden Stepback4 votes

Nasus klepto coin rush is totally unfair. How can a champ that rushes item 3306 be so strong? His ult is such BS why did they add all those resistances?

kargish3 votes

Because before this season Nasus was garbage and died extremely fast despite his late game.

NemeBro4 votes

Nasus was not even kind of a problem in any tier of play before kleptomancy. Klepto is the problem, not Nasus.

Isalva4 votes

The buffs Nasus got was to bring him up to par, hell it didn't do much other than helping him duel other top laners and being much more effective in teamfights. Here's the underlying issue, have you notice barely anyone complained that this buff was OP? Sure there was a handful of people who had a problem, but after like a week Nasus was still himself. Just with more DPS, now with the release of Klepto. WE are now addressing this buff that was made before these runes even existed? The issue isn't Nasus, its Kleptomancy in general. If Kleto is remove/nerfed Nasus wouldn't be such a problem.

T4underbolt1 votes

He will be a problem as long as he can double his stacks by pressing ultimate.

Isalva1 votes

No. That's simply not true. Nasus hasn't been causing any major trouble after his ult buff. There is no reason for him to stack unless you let him farm, Kleptomancy is the problem. Do not be blinded by a buff that seems out of line at first.

T4underbolt1 votes

It doesn't seem out of line at first it is out of line. Imagine veigar having 200 stacks instead of regular 100 at 10 minutes. He would just flash Q and R every time you come back to lane because he has so many stacks so early. That's exactly what Nasus is. He gets double stacks basically while using ultimate. This is mechanic of "you put me behind but I have a button that puts me even or ahead of you so I can kill you and be ahead without ultimate". He uses W and it's over you have no attack speed, no movement speed, you can't kill him with abilities alone as he lifesteals hard, plus lifesteal also is doubled during ultimate cause he has Q twice as often. He should be useless in lane and he isn't. He can outduel and even 1v2 no problem post lvl 6 and his early lvls aren't even weak. If you try to trade he just W you and throws E that now shreds % armor and not only him but minions too wreck you. So if I can't trade I can't bully him out of stacks and lane as well. The changes he got must be reverted or his W must get healthier mechanic.

Isalva2 votes

Well I don't know what to tell you, Nasus has always been prone to kiting and ADCs just shit on him cause Tristana Vayne are a thing right now. If its dueling then yeah, he will destroy you. If its a teamfight, ADCs usually just kill him anyway. I agree with Wither though, its so clunky to play against. A near 99% slow with your attack speed being the same as the slow is near impossible to outtrade against. If he puts that on an ADC he gets rid of his weakness for a bit, so he can cause havoc. I think his W could use a better healthier mechanic, but I rather not have his Ult buff reverted, he's been in a rough spot before this ult buff. The best I can see is to make it so instead of a flat 50% CDR on his Q, he gets 25%/30%/50% Q CDR reduction to make it more...healthy I guess. That's the best I can propose, but I really don't think removing that CDR on his Q during ult is the best move.

T4underbolt1 votes

This. Now I can agree fully. Scaling Q cdr on ultimate. Plus Tristana and vayne need proper nerfs plus ADCs items need cost increase.

Isalva1 votes

Glad we come to an agreement, I enjoy when I can end things on a good note. Well best of luck to you and on the Rift! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

sevlesruoY kcuF3 votes

It's seems that Nasus has no counterplay. Maybe if his slow was made a slow-moving skill-shot, them maybe you could kite him at least. But now you can't do anything vs Nasus. He is a one-man-army.

CarameI Frappe3 votes

Let's be honest ... the only reason Nasus is so strong is because he's getting a new skin. Riot places ESports and $$$ over balance. I don't want to sound like i'm spatting out theories but it's also funny how strong Vayne is when she also recently got an ultimate skin too (aka Project). I'm starting to lose faith in Riot, and I know they can do incredible things.

R buff was a joke. I have lost a lot of 1vs1 vs Nasus which I have stomped as toplanner just because he has ulti UP (and I'm talking maybe about 200chargues on his Q).

I remmber a game with yorick, he was 3 levels behind me, I land my E and use my R on him, he uses his R. I was overconfident becasue I was 3 levels ahead so I decide to trade witouth pay to much att. In 3 seconds i was death.

I think cripple part of wither needs to be looked at. It is bad enough not being able to move, but when you have your attack speed dropped to nearly one half near end duration, it feels bad not being able to even fight back a little. Maybe overall 5 second duration is too much as well.

It actually kind of makes sense that he has no trouble winning. Nasus spikes mid game, when defensive ignore isn't very high and he has a good amount of stacks, and games do tend to last really only up to the mid game point.
