Why Is Point And Click CC Ults A Thing?

Why exactly did riot think its a good idea to have champion that basically allow you to press R and then have no counter play to there ults, its so dumb how this game doesn't let you counter play stuff at all, there is no fun to playing vs any of these champions, having them press R and then you get insta killed cause there is no counter play against them at all, it so stupid.

Why does these need to be this in the game, why should I be so dam pushed for the enemy being able to press 1 button?

Why is there no counter play to them, and its so fun when a vi presses R, flies at you, knocking you up and then you insta die, with the only thing you can do to counter it, not be in range, you can't CC her, cause she's immune to it (why exactly?) and then you die, but that offers lots of counter-play I will just always stay 800 range away from her at all time, yeah that's great counter-play to offer the players.
