The State of Master Yi
Personally I think hes extremely weak. The meta right now is overrun with early game oppressive high mobility junglers. Yi gets dumpstered on by most of them in the early game, which is a huge problem. Yes, Yi is a late game champ. But to be honest, and I've been playing this game for a very long time, this is the most snowbally, early game dominated meta I've seen. For two reasons:
- For some reason, people this season are losing their Sh*t way too easily when one team gets a few early kills. Like, they actually think the game is over. Then they proceed to flame/yell/blame etc. Which seriously lowers your chances of winning.
- With damage creep pretty much the snowball keeps going. It gets the the point in almost every game where one team is just 1 shotting and denying the other team. And I get it, sometimes it happens, but right now its WAY too EASY (keyword easy) to shut your opponents down from xp/cs. As a jungler, its super easy to counter jungle and camp the enemy jungler because whoever gets ahead can just dominate the other due to all the early game oppressors. Also, tower dives are OUT OF CONTROL. Every game is a gank fiesta. Pretty much the first team to group up and keep diving will take the cake. Damage simply outscales defense at almost every stage of the game.
With those two reasons in mind this is just NOT the place for Yi right now. Might have to put him on my shelf for awhile... tired of getting "outplayed" by all these meta tryhards.
