What happened to this game? (snowballing)

What happened to the lol where games would keep swinging in either direction? Made games more engaging, and fun, and always felt like you had a way out. Now? One team gets a few early kills. Half your team rages/flames and say the game is over even if its only 5 mins in. The enemy team continues to snowball because not only your team isn't working well together, but for some reason they made it so the way damage/defense scales, if you get slightly ahead, you can start 1 shotting members of the other team. Damage is just so ridiculous at this point. Why does damage scale so exponentially? It's almost impossible to come back when you don't even have an opportunity for outplays. What happens when damage is so high, is that there is no room to outplay people, because you just die instantly. Whereas when defense and offence are even, you have SOME time to try and outplay. I've been playing since season 1 and this season by far has become my least favorite. Having a hard time even logging in to play more than a game or two because either my team completely dominates and I get bored because there is no challenge, or the enemy team is so oppressively fed that I feel helpless (alongside dealing with the immature/ignorant teamates that comes with being behind)

...Pls fix this. Nerf damage items, up their cost, change scaling, make defensive items better, just do SOMETHING.

Riots balance team decided to smoke some good stuff and take an extended vacation since Pre season S6.

Riot has said they want shorter matches, and unfortunately, this means snowbally games. I too am of the opinion that clutch matches where they go back and forth are so much better and fun, but those ones tend to last between 40 mins and 1 hour. Many don't have time for games that long, especially if they're playing ranked. If you go back to season 1 and 2 team fights lasted very long, now they're over in no time, which is why pro matches in LCK and LCS lack so much action, because a couple of kills to a skilled player or just one bad team fight can easily decide the game.

There isnt enough tradeoff.

Look at the new banshees. Ability power PLUS a refreshing ability shield. What mage in their right mind wouldn't buy this item, let alone its now a first item for MANY mages. Its offensive AND defensive now. item 3071 Health, movement speed buff, damage, AND armor shred. item 3153 This thing got massively buffed. Now even Jinx players are getting it. item 1400 This gives junglers way too much early damage at an extremely early stage of the game. Graves The list goes on.

Increasing mobility in the game is leaving more room for mistakes, disadvantages for non-mobility. LeeSin Fizz

Certain champions are just all out better picks in any situation. Graves LeeSin and theres little reason not to pick them.

The game is losing its strategic feel. Riot's goal of making things "meaningful" is becoming Too meaningful as in, everything else is becoming meaningless. Why the fuck would you pick Jax over Fiora? Or JarvanIV over LeeSin? Volibear at all?

LCSBIGPLAYS and spectator enjoyment for their fever dream of League being a global sport that lasts for generations became their number one priority in terms of design and balance.

And now we wait for the triggered shills to find this thread offensive to daddy Riot, insisting that every single change has improved the game because Rito said it did.

Its the 'shorter match' (maybe by 5-10 minutes?...except now with no hope of a come back if the other team has a 2 tower or so lead) cancer that has plagued this game since season 5 when it was imo, perfect. Fuckin sucks to play this game now. Even ARAM has become so snowbally its not worth my time other than a time waster or getting 1st win of the day. The rotating game modes is where this game is at now for me. At least they still can provide close games occasionally.

If they wanted shorter matches they should just focus on Twisted Treeline and make that LCS presentable.

Game has been snowbally since S2 as far as I can remember. The worst I remember it being was S3, and S5.
