Zyra needs some nerfs.

Im very surprised shes being untouched on pbe so far, her laning phase is just beyond oppressive with how her plants target champs now, she can miss her Q but due to its massive plant activation range it'll always atleast hit 1 or 2 plants which will instantly start to target champs and proc thunderlords, basically you lose 100~200 hp (or even more) every time she presses Q even if she doesnt hit it, at the very least the plants shouldnt target champs if zyra hasant hit them yet with a spell or auto.

i main zyra and i think that the plant activation range on her q needs to be decreased and the damage needs to be increased

i dont even use the q for damage most of the time, just to spawn a bucketload of plants. before her rework you could really see the satisfying chunk of hp go down after you land your q

but now its just a tool for more plants

Every Zyra main feels this. I main Zyra because of that poke damage and feel. Now it's shorter range and harder to hit and weaker? I am willing to reduce the time on plants spawn from her passive to get that sastifying feeling back.

I've seen plants sprout when the Q was an entire extra Q away from the seed. It's ridiculous.

I like Zyra's theme, but she's part of what I call the "Heimerdinger series" (Champions that function similarly to Heimerdinger by spawning semi-autonomous/autonomous zones of control; list includes: Zyra Illaoi Azir ), and one of the rules of that is that you're not allowed to be more obnoxious than Heimerdinger, which I think Zyra currently is.

Heimer actually kinda cares if you disable turrets effectively. Zyra just waits a few seconds and respawns them.

If you disable all of them, he's gotta wait on the cd. Someone who can happily disable them from range ( Syndra Azir etc...) or keep their health topped up Vladimir ) are issues for the Donger.

There's also the idea that Heimer is stuck where he put his turrets. Zyra's seeds spawn so rapidly she never suffers from moving around.

everthything which vastly outranges him though those a problems champions like lux and xerath and velkoz because at best you go even but mostly you lose out. after their firstback they oneshot minionwaves and your turrets alike and vlad but vlad is more of an annoyance really

In short, no.

Reducing her MS would mostly serve to cripple mid lane Zyra, I highly doubt support Zyra would care nearly as much. Riot committed to making both viable so any changes right now need to be net neutral to small buffs to mid Zyra who seems to be performing about averagely right now.

I'd personally reduce her plant spawn range a little, because it's stupid and nerf her base damages in favour of more ratios maybe adding some bonus damage VS minions so she can still farm early.

She's bellow average to average, any nerfs aimed at Zyra support need compensation buffs to Zyra mid to avoid gutting her as a mid laner again.

The plants die pretty quickly And you can always walk over them before she activates them.

Shes a ban tier champ right now that is often being banned in high elo.

Shes basically the Lucian of supports right now, just the strongest one by far.

Highest win rate back line support right now you make melee supports have a laning phase thats a living hell most supports can barely match your damage not even a Sone with item 3100 hurts as much as Zyra

Tfw they made her plants too easy to grow. "Well, activating the ability directly on top of her plants was both difficult and inconvenient so we made it braindead level." "We also made her plants grow wherever the hell they want to, so it's justified." You don't see Illaoi having too much trouble with the tentacles.

yeah, the plants are just too oppressive to counter effectively. However, I will say, you can't play on the backfoot when facing zyra you have to be aggressive so she can't set up her garden. I think she's one of the few supports that you really need to hard counter with your support pick in this meta.

I think a fair nerf to Zyra at this point would be to lower the plant-activation range on some of her skills. The skillshot is sometimes nowhere near a seed and the plant sprouts regardless. It feels a tad too forgiving to the Zyra player, and unintuitive to play against as an opponent. No need to touch her damage until that is looked at.

Yeah, that will be most likely. Basically it needs to be targeted at support and not nerf mid lane. Zyra mid lane is a bit behind. NB. Emphasis on a bit. She's average to slightly below average so any buff will probably put her over the line
