You know what happened when you reworked malz and his passive was beyond overpowered (and still is) and had to get nerfed multiple times.

predicted outcome of this change: resurgence of every AP mage, mid lane katarina skyrockets into stratosphere, ryze winrate drops to below 25% and is hastily deleted from the game.
I just don't get why they would swap the Banshees passive with Abyssal Even reading their context, it still makes no sense
What if I'm AD and want the spellshield? And what if I'm ap but want the new GA which is strictly geared towards squishy ADs? This feels so much more limiting

It's a super good AP item, so there's no chance in hell it makes it to live as-is.
They'll probably change the AP to AD and spend the next year saying it's "in a good place."

Assasins had their fcking fun w edge of night. Its the mages time! TBH you need to take in the fact that all champions are going to recieve mr/lvl and tank itemization aganst mages is going to be so much better, so the banshee change compensates with this nerf. Edit:also mages can no longer build GA and propably most ad champions will, so theres that as well.
malzahar passive is damage reduction against everything, nice try doe
banshee is supposed to be an anti-poke item, giving it 8 sec cd+disabling it if taking damage is smart
what isn't is giving it 60 ap, this is going to be insane on AP assassins that will have a spellshield
they should reduce the ap

I mean, it's one way to really shift the meta. Champions that rely heavily on a specific spell to combo off of, or have very few spells that can even be used offensively are going to be gutted if this item becomes a rush item.
I bet it causes Fizz's fish to go to the ground, then it swims onto you anyway though.
