Yes, this is an important point. If you're assigned to Jungle, and you don't take Smite, the game can be remade AND it operates as a loss for you as an individual.
Regarding your other arguments, I would say this:
I don't know that it's fair to be using smite-free strats in solo queue. While it should be mandated to take to Flex, I do think it's reasonable to say we should encourage people to bring it to Flex.
I'm all for off-meta, but in solo queue how often do we really think that's happening?

That's fine. I'm not married to this one concept, but the remake concept comes out of the position that - if we're going to allow remakes for DC's (where they have just as much ability to win) - then why not for other situations in which the next 30 minutes is assumed to be blown.
And that's sort of the central argument I'm making. Where's the line on what is allowed for a remake? If the jungle doesn't connect, we all get to remake the game. If the jungle forgets smite? Tough shit, play it through.
I'd love your "fix it at the fountain" idea, and think that's a fine alternative. But since he remake has been established, I'm asking for it's definition to be expanded. Riot needs to do something, and so far we've been given nothing.

Because I have enough game knowledge to know that forcing a summoner, even a widely used one, is s terrible idea. With current changes to jungle and the complete nerf to early game farming due to later level 3, not getting full lane gold if you gank / hold a lane, that I wouldn't be shocked if builds came out where smite wasn't used. Certain champions, like nunu, don't evenreally need smite. In a competitive environment someone should be allowed to do whatever they think will make them win. If someone believes they can pukk off a roaming support playstyle then they should be allowed to try.
As others stated, it isn't your team mates fault that you are hard stuck multi season bronze....yet your posts seem to be based on the idea that you are at a Certain rank due to unfortunate team mates, but the truth is that every gsme you are on your team and that is the common factor in your losses.

The Nocturne God1 votesIn bronze 4 I could unbind my summoner abilities and still 1v9 carry with a 100% win rate... if you k ow the game at all it is incredibly easy to win in bronze, regardless of your team mates. You don't knowthe game at all, despite playing it for years and years... you've never left the rank of bronze, after thiusands of games. It looks like you have a learning deficiency of some sort.
It can be used in premades, take turns changing out who is jungling, dodge unfavorable games with no smite. But even if you put out guidelines to punish it, it wouldn't matter. With how the meta constantly changes it would be dumb to force a summoner on a role. Top isn't forced to take tp, support isn't forced to take exhaust,, adc isn't forced to take heal... but those are all things I wanna see.
Stop blaming your team mates for why after thousands of games theoughout many seasons you can't climb out of bronze 4/5, where you stay.
