They want it to stack with Maw again.

If that happens, I guarantee you the moment such a change goes through champions who have the potential to buy both (like Irelia) would be complained about to high hell. (not like she isn't already, but still)

Basically, assassins and brusiers will have huge anti-burst shields. Which will remove the counterplay of fighting assassins and make brusiers a hell of a lot more of a problem to deal with.

Yeah but unless they made the base shield incredibly small then it's still two shields that are absorbing the brunt of the attack.

It has no base shield; but the ratio is 75%. Sterak's gives 450 health, so it's going to give a minimum 315 HP shield.

Thanks, I haven’t looked it up in a while.

That’s still 315 shield with whatever maw gives. It’s a nice “fuck you” to magic damage.

Irelia would be a special case, if anything it would be nice for other brusiers.

Then again it's better to balance them around their items especially if it's a QoL.

I'd rather it didn't stack personally. Bruisers already have huge lead way right now with several of them having multiple build paths for them to abuse. :/ furthermore, they're already get an absurd pair of items in the preseason.
